When I ordered the birthday cake I said make the large roses hot pink and the tiny roses softer pink if you have that, I was told yes we do. Ok perfect I asked for the writing to be in the darker shade of pink and if they had sprinkles of similar colors or could they use the ones I brought in was told yes we can. I go pick up the cake, I thought she just made a mistake and brought the wrong cake out but nope she didn't it was my cake not pink all red roses, and they didn't even know what i was talking about with the sprinkles I brought in. sucks had to prepay for that and was told well I'm sorry there's really not much i can do it's already made. I had to go to the party store to add pink to the cake. Very unfortunate and they lost my sprinkles! 😂

Service absolutely terrible, rude staff all the lady did was roll her eyes when I kept ordering more things, I'm sorry it wasn't like u were crazy busy it was myself and 2 other people and they were already waited on. I've come there for years, I know the staff changes alot I've never let the unfriendly service stop me from coming there but this women was just over the top rude. And to top it off, the cake was dry amd not even chocolate that I asked for she boxed the wrong one. Very disappointed. I was told hogan's bakery is good so I'll have to make that drive from poland down there unfortunately.

The cake I asked for and was assured it would have that exact topper on it, and then the cake I got a edible cookie image, the cookie was dry. Just another example this would be my 5th cake I ordered that it is never either what i asked for or a slight difference and always get the same answer well we ran out of that specific decoration or icing. Could have at least called and let me know because I would have said leave the cookie off. I pre-ordered this way way before Christmas. Just tired of having them decorate how they want to. The women wouldn't even allow me tohave a double layer cake option for any size she said no no you pick only one flavor.

Great bakery , but hours are very limited. They do not answer the phone, yet they tell you to leave a message and call back number . However , the mailbox is always full and cannot accept messages. Very frustrating!

I had an incredible experience at Classic Bakery, and it immediately brought back memories of visiting Mr. Paul’s near Idora Park as a kid. The aroma, the warmth, and the familiar atmosphere truly feel like coming home. YES….I miss the original location on Glenwood avenue.
The cookies are fresh and perfectly made, the chocolate cream puffs are AMAZING and the lady locks are crisp, FRESH and authentically Mahoning Valley. But the standout for me is the chocolate cream sticks. One bite takes me straight back to childhood trips with my father, my brothers and the flavor is exactly as I remember.
The service is fantastic, friendly, and welcoming. You can tell they take real pride in what they do.
Classic Bakery is always a must stop whenever I come home to Youngstown. They have kept the spirit of Mr. Paul’s alive, and every visit feels like reconnecting with the best memories of my youth.

They had the exact cake my wife wanted for her mother's birthday sitting there waiting. No custom order! Wonderful!!!!
Classic bakery used to be the best bakery in the area but cost cutting measures are evident and quality has gone way down. We all know that costs have gone up but $30 for a cake that has so little frosting that the layers don’t stay put and shrinking cakes is not a good look. I think most customers would rather pay a little more and keep the quality we are used to. Still $30 for a cake isn’t cheap. I don’t plan on frequenting this establishment again.
