The vegetarian section has been removed. Impossible burger with vegan cheese is the only listed vegan option!

Good classic American food! This restaurant has it all, from burgers to chicken, to steak, to fish, all the way to soups and salads! Service is great! The restaurant is clean. Location is a little odd, but it's ok. Boardman is a busy town, and they are doing well, so clearly the location ended up working. They also offer a variety of alcoholic beverages, so that was good too. Prices are very reasonable. And the wait time was pretty quick. I'm personally not a huge fan of classic American food, but when I want it, here is one of the places to go.
There are 19 tvs. Used to come here years ago. Definitely not what it was before. Ate elsewhere

It’s not often I visit a restaurant for the first time and come out completely impressed, but that’s what happened at The Magic Tree Tavern. Housed in a former Ground Round location, Magic Tree is your standard bat and grill with the usual menu options (burgers, salads, chicken, fish, etc), but it seemed that everything is made in house. Today we had the chicken tenders and I have to say these may have been the best chicken tenders I have ever had. Lightly breaded but crispy on the outside, moist and juicy on the inside and just the right amount of seasoning made these a true treat. Add in the hand-cut fries and this was an absolutely outstanding meal. The restaurant was clean and the service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be going back soon to try the fish and burgers… but those chicken tenders are going to be quite tempting to not order!
Live about 45 minutes away but whenever we’re in or near Boardman we stop at the Magic Tree, usually for lunch. I love the Chicken Tenders and my husband loves the burgers. They also have a large selection of draft beers and the drinks I have seen the bar tenders make look fabulous.

On Sunday, September 7th, our family gathered to celebrate the life of my father-in-law. We chose the Magic Tree Pub and Eatery in Boardman, Ohio, and it could not have been a better decision.
From the very beginning, General Manager Patrick was incredible. He guided me through every step of the planning process, providing multiple menu options that perfectly fit the needs of our group. The pricing was very fair, the portions were generous, and the food itself was nothing short of spectacular.
The accommodations were flawless and every request we made was met without hesitation. Our server, Maria, was outstanding. She made sure that not a single glass went empty, providing attentive, thoughtful service to every guest throughout the day.
What could have been a very difficult and emotional day was made far easier thanks to the professionalism, care, and hospitality of the Magic Tree staff. I can’t thank them enough for helping our family create a truly positive experience in the midst of such a hard time.
If you’re looking for the perfect venue, no matter the size of your party...look no further than the Magic Tree. Highly recommended.

This place used to be really good, last couple times we went, the menu was limited, the beer selections were lacking and the food only just so-so. hopefully they will do a face lift on this business, but until then, would suggest passing up.

I can’t rate the food because we didn’t get any, but I will say that my family came here because we saw a review stating there were a lot of options for gluten free, vegan and vegetarians. There were a lot of options for vegan and vegetarian but the ONLY thing labeled GF on the menu was a strawberry salad. If you are dieting they have GF buns but the meat that goes on them is not. For anyone that has celiacs disease I wouldn’t recommend going unless you’re looking to eat strawberry salad.

Used to be a lot better.
The Magic Tree? More like The Tragic Tree of Winged Terror.
This place used to be a cozy little spot. Now it’s a post-apocalyptic fly sanctuary with a side of sadness. The food tasted like someone challenged a raccoon to a cook-off and then served the losing dish. My wife’s meal looked like it had been plated by someone blindfolded and emotionally unavailable.
But the real entertainment? The flies. Oh, the flies. It was like they were hosting a family reunion on our table. They dive-bombed our plates like tiny kamikaze pilots, did synchronized laps around our drinks, and one even tried to land on my fork mid-bite. I think another one whispered “you gonna finish that?” before taking a stroll across my fries.
And the waitress? She watched us swatting and flinching like it was just another Tuesday. No apology, no acknowledgment, not even a raised eyebrow. If she wasn’t fazed by the insect invasion, I dread to imagine what her home looks like. If this is her baseline for cleanliness, her kitchen probably doubles as a breeding ground for pests and poor decisions. Honestly, she radiated the kind of apathy that makes you wonder if she’s seen things—fly-related things—that broke her spirit long ago.
We left 99% of the food untouched—not because we’re picky, but because we were outnumbered and emotionally defeated. I took one fry for morale and fled the scene like a war hero escaping enemy territory. My wife dove through the door like she was evading sniper fire.
Just kidding—we did pay.
But we left the waitress a $10.00 tip, which felt generous considering she treated our insect battle like dinner theater. Honestly, it was less a gratuity and more a symbolic offering—like, “Here’s ten bucks for watching us suffer.”
If I were the owner, I’d shut the place down, fumigate it, and maybe call an exorcist just to be safe.
We’re never coming back. Not even if they offered us a free meal, a bottle of wine, and a heartfelt apology from the flies themselves.
