Honestly this is my first time eating soul food and omg it was horrible the green beans didn’t even have a hint of seasoning. The macaroni tasted like old milk, the fish was so salty I could not even eat it. The gumbo had absolutely no flavor at all. I am not even close to a picky eater and I could not even finish the food because of how nauseous I was. I gave one star because they gave me a hush puppy for some reason and it was actually very good.

This place got some of the best southern style food you can get in the area the fish was perfect the shrimp were huge the crab cakes were amazing an im very particular on coleslaw an there's was excellent very nice lady at the front I will be going back an definetly recommending to friends an family! Sam's southern eatery you just got a loyal customer!!! Thank you!!!

Have driven by multiple times and always thought it looked like a nice place to try but was always going somewhere. Finally stopped and I am so glad I did and so mad it took me so long. Everything was amazing, got the chicken strip family meal 20 strips and fries for $24, go price that at kfc or rasing canes ??. Will be back on the regular!
The fish was a little salty and I was told that it was catfish but it wasn't but the sign didn't say catfish it just said fish I asked that person that waited on me was it catfish and they said yes but I know catfish it was not catfish was just fish like the sign stated but again I did ask was it catfish had he not said yes I wouldn't have ordered it
