The portions are so much smaller but the price is higher. I'm honestly not sure how this place is still open. The hibachi place outside the mall is better.

The food was decent. I went with my family. We got the chicken hibachi and combination hibachi (shrimp and chicken). It was pretty good. Needed a little more seasoning. Just ask for extra hibachi sauce. We got a piña colada and a blue Hawaiian. The piña colada was pretty good, the blue Hawaiian was pretty watered down, more ice than anything. Service was really good and entertaining. The kids ages are from 5 - 14. All were entertained and did pretty good with the food options. They offer noodles for the kids if they don't want rice.

By far the best Japanese steak house in the whole area. Possibly my favorite restaurant in Youngstown! Prices are very fair and the quality of the food is absolutely outstanding! Seafood cooked to perfection... I definitely recommend the shrimp😋 You can add anything on the side to your hibachi meal for a small fee so you can have noodles, extra veggies, even extra egg. Totally customizable and absolutely delicious!!!

I ordered two scallop lunch meals today. There was a very little amount of scallops and they were pieces. The meal was mostly rice. No appetizer of shrimp anymore. I will not be back there!

I don't really like the food but it's fun to watch the show!

One of the best hibachi spots in Boardman. It is our go to spot and highly recommend. Food tastes great and staff is friendly and accommodating. Nice ambience and they have private rooms and plenty of options.

Went to Sawa Hibachi for my father-in-laws 70th birthday party with 13 family members. While we did have a pretty good time and enjoy the food, what we sat down to was completely gross. The staff did try to accommodate us by cleaning with the typical wipe down rag, but it obviously had little to no impact on the greasy marble countertops. Needless to say, everyone pretty much sat their with their hands in their laps to avoid the slimy surface. I'm pretty sure a little Dawn dish soap and water would easily rectify the problem, but it's like the staff really didn't care. Using a sterilizer with a dish rag does not clean the surface of grease or oil, it only smears it around. You have to CLEAN the surface with soap/degreaser BEFORE you use the sterilizer. No customer should have to explain this. Our overall experience was a fair/good one however, I don't see a return to Sawa any time soon.

I used to enjoy this restaurant quite a bit, they always had delicious food, a beautiful atmosphere, and massive portions. However this is No longer the case, the restaurant is falling apart, the food quality (or maybe the people preparing it) has severely decreased, and the portions have been cut in half! They did not bring enough the whole table, not even enough rice, the cheapest item they can give. Shame on the owners or mangers. Not even the sushi had as much as before! I will not be returning I can spend 100$ better at any other eatery in town

My wife and I came in and was sat immediately. That was the last time we had any employee interaction. There was a total of 4 other people in the restaurant. We sat at a table for more than 10 minutes and not a soul came over to even take a drink order. As we walked out we seen 4 employees sitting around one table sitting on their phone and the host sitting at a separate table also on his phone. The food smelled great but we wouldn't know how it tastes because we couldn't even get drinks!

Years later, I forgot what I ordered and didn't like the last time. Turns out to be the shrimp and scallops. They have a real fishy/ potting soil taste. Other than that everything was good.
