We have been going to Shang Hai River for over 15 years. The food is always fresh and delicious; the staff friendly and attentive. We absolutely will not eat Chinese food anywhere else!Also, to the person who left a negative review because of an annoying customer; you should not have faulted the restaurant owner for his bad behavior. If you wanted the police called, why didn't you call them yourself? That is not a reason to leave such a negative review for a business.

Food was great. I had a big order for lunch and the person taking the order put everything as dinner size instead of lunch. Even though it was noontime for some reason he thought I wanted dinner size meals after I said I’m getting lunch for my coworkers. They tried to fix it by giving me 2 large soups which were delicious too. Jus mis communication

This place used to be AMAZING. That said, it has gone downhill over the past several years. The inside has been cut down from a seating perspective, not much has been done to make it look good or updated. It is best for a quick lunch or takeout.The food is just OK. The portions are not that great and prices are not that cheap chinese food lunch pricing anymore. The quality of food has declined, and I would much rather go to other places unless I absolutely have to go here. Its just ok. Simple, nothing special at all.

What can I say. It is a little small place with 3-4 tables sure, but when walk in and one is occupied and another is full of dirty plates while worker sits on her phone, that is terrible. I had not be there since spring 2020 and was so so then, but I gave it a chance again, it will be the last. They are a couple dollars more than some others but that is not the big issue. The 4 combination plates that we ordered were bland and flavorless food. The sauce on the entrees was so thin we hoped the rice would soak some of it up. Btw the fried rice, it thats what they consider it is sad. was not good The egg rolls were thin and over cooked. They looked like they came off the rollers at speedway with very little taste. If you are going there for fortune cookies you might be ok. Very disappointed.
