I am a Activities coordinator for a day hub program for adults with special needs. I planned a community event at our workshop and I booked this food truck. So let’s start here they get there and they make two meals out of about 50 meals that were pre-ordered and they run out of propane so one of my coworkers used one of our company vehicles and took them to their house to pick up a big thing of propane now let me remind you when I book this truck. I explain to him that we have people with autism And times are very important to them. A change in the lunchtime could ruin their whole day so they ran out of propane. It took about two hours for them to get all of our individual meals to them and then staff and other people who came to our event were able to order and it took them forever to get those . Never mind you I gave them over $500 in pre-orders plus all the individual orders that they got that day. They made a nice amount and maybe 3 to 4 hours but could’ve been less had they not ran out of their propane. So at the end, I paid them for all the orders that were pre-ordered, and I paid for my own. None of the food was cheap Let me remind you. So he gives me a receipt and when I finally make it back to my desk after wrapping up our community event, I look on the spreadsheet and I see that he overcharged me almost $200 we get our company credit card bill not only did he charge us over almost $200, he added another charge onto it when I called and asked him he told me that the $200 was his tip and let me explain. He sat on a stool while two women cooked and gave him our food and me and the staff that I work with passed out their food, so he gave himself a tip of almost $200 for sitting on a stool. I would not recommend this place. I think he is a crook and luckily I work for a very understanding company with the owner who has a huge heart and they did not take that money out of my paycheck because ultimately, I am the one responsible for making sure that all the money adds up , I hope this man is proud of himself He took money from disabled people that was not owed to him. We did not have a contract and never once did he mention. that he would charge us extra money for a tip as well as he tried to charge me like $35 for using my credit card, but I told him no that I would not pay that at that time. I did not know that he was adding almost $200 to our bill, all I can say is if you’re gonna do business with this man, make sure you get something written and signed by him about any extra charges that he might feel like he wants to do oh and he never offered to pay us for our gas for taking him in one of our large vehicles that takes a lot of gas and the gas is expansive to go get the propane so he can make the meals and overcharge us not a good businessman not a businessman at all Because he was so late getting our individuals meals out to them they sat at the tables during most of the event waiting for their food so they missed a lot of fun things he ruined that day for us and overcharged us

Would not honor the prices listed on the trucks POSTED menu, the old man inside was charging $3 more per person on their orders .... not sure why more people were not complaining, I'd say they did not want to deal with his nasty attitude. Plus ... I know they canceled the last appearance the very DAY they were supposed to be there .... ( don't know if they gave any lame excuses or not )

Food was not good. The gumbo was seasoned meat on rice. The lady taking orders was most unpleasant.

Just so everyone is aware @thealternativefoodtruck made a deal with NBYB to give a portion of their profits back to the organization. They were here for 2 weekends and refused to give a dime. When approached about it, they called the woman a b&$!* and said she was talking like a n$&!*. Please do not ever use them for any events! They robbed our organization which only supports kids playing baseball. And a lot of the money they received was from people of color buying their food!!!!!
