The Aldridge Cafe is a popular “old school diner”, located at a downtown hotel. I had the weekly “special lunch”. The fried catfish, very good Hush puppies, very good Fries, just OK Coleslaw, very good Beans, not good Tartar sauce, good Recommended, nice change from “corporate” restaurants.

Apart from knowing the owner I've always gone to the Aldridge Cafe with my father who is an attorney across the street. I always love the wait staff. It's very personal downhome feel to it with the same kind of food that she would expect to eat down home with family and friends here in the south I love it

This place has real comfort food and the atmosphere is like what you see in movies when they show the small town cafe with a group of men sitting, and drinking coffee, most people come in and greet each other and talk about current events, waitresses call people by name and know the orders of the regulars. I have eaten here numerous times over the past 50 years and the food always tastes wonderful.

Excellent place for breakfast. The service is very good. The food is special. I love this place.
it's good. it makes me anxious to seat myself, which they tell you to do. they totally ignored me recently as i stood near the register to ask about a bathroom. so i had to go to the coffee shop down the street so as to not pee my pants.
