First the good, I had the country-fried steak with mashed potatoes and salad. The homemade ranch was delicious but the lettuce could have been fresher. The steak and potatoes were good but the gravy wasn’t to my liking, personal preference I’m sure. My wife had chicken strips, mashed potatoes and green beans. The Strips were like homemade, the mashed potatoes (with no gravy per wife’s choice) were okay, the green beans were so-so. What stood out were the employees. Sorry...
Today was the Salisbury steak special. I ordered mine to go, but I sat with my grandpa and could not help but notice the staff's dedication to hustling! Also, the steak was superb. The portions were very well priced. I even had leftovers. Thank you, 818 Diner!
Loved this place. The food was great, the server was awesome, and the restaurant had some really cool stuff on the walls. It is a great little small town restaurant. I would definately eat there again.
