Sadly, after many years, I've had to downgrade the restaurant. From the lack of crowd, apparently, I'm not the only one. Used to be, you'd go in just about anytime & you'd often have to wait for a table, with even strangers often sharing one of the long tables scattered throughout. Food was spectacular, with huge portions. Not my first visit since the pandemic, but hadn't posted before because I'd hoped it was an aberration. Sadly, it's not. Went at 12:30 and place barely half full. The physical plant of the building can only be described as absolutely falling apart. The paper menu I was given was definitely not clean. The food was still good although the variety is far less than it used to be & the portions are about half of what they'd been. When I was finished, I was still not full. All in all, the place seems to be a sad reflection of the times in which we live.
Parking: Adequate parking. Very steep next to the building itself. Would be tough for someone who needs a handicapped spot. MY hubby, e.g., would have a very tough time with the handicapped spot. somewhat on rough side throughout.
Chicken fried steak burnt and greasy fry's was just as bad. Manager wanted to argue about it also gravy was
My husband ordered no tomatoes on his sandwich and got several tomatoes. My chicken fried steak was like one of those little frozen thin ones, not worth $13. The mashed potatoes, gravy and toast were all cold. We will not be back.
Took an hour to get breakfast. And no one bothered to even let us know why. We'll NEVER stop here again. Food was only mediocre.
Only if you already dying. I never seen places like this. inside it smelled of old rags, repairs had not been done for 100 years, there was a feeling that the roof could collapse on you, as there were a lot of leaks from the rain. The food was also so-so, not salty, but the forks were clean. And there were also a lot of flies that constantly landed on food. Unfortunately I didn’t make pictures. Not recommended by Lena truck driver.
It's a modest location that's about all I can say. The area is not well known for its good food options.
Food was good. Server was friendly. Can tell a lot of locals mingle there.
one of my favorite places to eat while in town. I come pay respects to lane frost at least 2 to 3 times a year. I give 100% on this place. and has the best cat fish and servers are very nice!!! thank you so much. from rogers Arkansas

We come everyday at lunch because of the waitresses….. good food and great service Stephanie Tutt
Food was GREAT ACTUALLY IT WAS FANTASTIC. Service was lacking though... we will be back , the food was that ?
Service was bad. Waitress was too busy talking to her friend. Finally got our food which was piping hot, except you could throw the biscuits against the wall and they would bounce back to you. Went to pay out and mentioned the biscuits and waitress said I know day shift didn't close the bag up. We are cooking fresh ones. She couldn't have told me this before serving them to me and maybe offered me toast instead? Then in jelly container there was a dead fly.
One great place to eat . I eat here when I come to atoka. The huge chicken fried steak salad and mashed potatoes..I wish they served okra more... The salads are good just wish they offered spinach in stead of lettuce. I love the staff. Every visit reminds me of my grandmother ( jean) and my grandpa ( Frank Johnson) .this was his favorite food and place to eat every Sunday after church.
Very excellent place I would eat there again ☺️
