We were quickly seated and received drinks and chips right away, but it took over 15 minutes for the waiter to come take our order then over 30 minutes to get our food. The lunch chalupa was dry and the ice cream on the arroyo was melted by the time I got it.

We had been to El Adobe before, but we only tried the Mexican food. I had heard from some friends that their ribeye was the best around so I went to test that out and can say with some confidence that my friends were correct. It was cooked how I ordered it, it was a great cut of meat and there was enough left for another meal.
The waitress checked on us regularly and the atmosphere was very comfortable. When we left it was standing room only.
Last year we went to another establishment local to Atoka that well known and had a good experience, but El Adobe was much better and less pricey. Do yourself and make the trip.

This is just a great Tex-Mex place to eat. They serve anything from the grill to patio drinks with your food.
This place was not good. The food was not prepared well. My fajita meat looked like it was from the freezer section from any chain grocery store and wasn’t actually grilled. Our other order came out with cold meat in the tacos, beans not prepared and the rice was crunchy and burned. Staff was inattentive and rude. We will not be making a return visit.
