“Giving a big thank you to Colton and his crew for the evening of 10/8/22, you all had a full house and you still were able to accommodate my wife's Alpha-gal mammal allergy with a great catfish dinner, she has had no allergy reaction, which means we did not have to go to the hospital. When we camp again or come visit we will sure to be by for another meal, thank you all again”

“We’re from NWA and generally go to The Catfish Hole in Fayetteville AR. The distance is about the same as to Cosby’s for us so we decided to try it. Not only was the drive better with way less traffic but the catfish?!?!?! I honestly think it beats our regular go to!! We’ll definitely be back!! Thanks for the wonderful service and food!! The atmosphere is warm, cozy and welcoming as are all the ladies. You won’t regret giving this place a chance. Best catfish hands down and it’s served family style!!”

“Went on July 3. I thought they would be slammed thr night before the holiday, but it wasn’t. Probably because they are normally closed on Wednesday. Staff was really friendly and the food came out quickly. Everything was delicious. I love the selection of frozen cocktails. Such a fun place!”

“It is not TexMex; it is not OkieMex. It is a version of traditional authentic Mexican food.
I had dined here several years ago. At that time, I must have not been particularly impressed; I didn’t document the encounter with a review. My assessment now, decent Mexican food. As about as good as any place in Grove.
Mild tomato-based salsa. The salsa picante has some heat. I distinctly remember the chips from the first visit. And my only real complaint. They are crisp, but a little dark like they have been under the heat lamp too long or toasted too long. My wife had a spectacular chili relleno that she raved about while eating it and continued raving on the drive home. It was covered with a very tasty and flavorful tomato based red sauce. For me Chili Rojo. Described on the menu as tender cubes of pork in a spicy red chili gravy. It didn’t mention anything about potatoes. The plate that came to the table had chunks of potatoes. The pork was exactly as described and plenty of it. Excellent lean tender pork. I pushed the potatoes aside. The gravy was tasty, a little spicy, but far from the red chili sauce I had hoped for. The meal was good. Great beans. Check the pictures.
Las Palmeras has a slightly different version of traditional authentic Mexican food.
The restaurant is a typical little Mexican joint. The building shows some wear. Bright colorful Mexican village scenes cover everything. Patio dining is available for those mild winter days. The restaurant is clean throughout. The service was fast attentive and friendly. Try it and compare yourself!
If you are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection "Jalapeno Highway" by Spike S. on Yelp. I've probably been there.”

“This is by far the most authentic tacos I’ve found in an hour radius. The barbacoa or carnita tacos are definitely my favorite. Their quesadillas are so perfectly crispy. You never would expect such good Mexican food on the island! Also the owner is such a vibe, very friendly, and always makes you feel welcome! He’s a local artist too and has a lot of his art on display throughout the restaurant. This is an eccentric experience that you can’t miss out on and is worth the drive. Get there early because they can definitely sell out of a lot throughout the day! We go 3+ times a week for lunch.”

“My wife and I stopped here after visiting Grand-lake for work for a quick dinner. The food was great, we got a single cheese burger, fries, and a blackberry fried pie. Not a complaint about any of them, the fries even tasted fresh cut. I will be back for more!”
