Today I stopped by Moondogs Coney Cafe after seeing some great reviews on another page, and I’m glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the owners, Janet and Mike, who were super welcoming and happy to walk me through the menu and suggest some customer favorites.

I went with the Enchilada Dog and the Philly Cheesesteak Dog, both served on steamed buns, loaded with cheese, and topped just right. 👉 Pro tip: if you order the Philly Dog, don’t skip the grilled peppers and onions—that really seals the deal.

One thing that really stood out was the service. Right as I was about to take my first bite, I got a phone call that pulled me away for a few minutes. When I came back, Mike had actually put my dog back in the steamer so it would still be hot and enjoyed the way it was meant to be. That kind of thoughtful touch is rare and really appreciated.

Both the dog and sausage were flavorful and satisfying, and I’d absolutely come back to try more of what they offer. They’ve been open for a few years now and clearly have a loyal following—and it shows.

If you’re ever in the area, Moondogs is definitely worth a stop 👍

You better stop here. The Customer Service and the couple who run it are ridiculously amazing. Place was so clean. Really good food. Love small businesses like this!!

The food here is so good, and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. They load up the coneys with toppings. They also have a baker that supplies fresh baked goods like cookies. The oatmeal cream pie is a must-have! I do not have a picture because I ate it all 😃

Was suggested some toppings and went with it! Perfect not too spicy right texture on the bell peppers. Next time I am in the area I will be eating here again.

This place is awesome! People are great. I'll always come back when in the area. Pay attention when driving to it you can easily pass it by!

I spent $18 on 3 reg and 1 chz coneys w/ 2 small sodas. Its a very clean place. The woman that did food service was incredibly kind and all smiles. But the hallelujah music was way too much. The chili is not from the coney islander that I will always be committed to at 37th and Peoria. I appreciate the cleanliness and the outside vibe. But the lil jesus in the drink area and the music are why its empty on a Wednesday at 12:15 in bixby ok. Literally on the same road that truckers go down all day. Tip: try no music and try different location. Cause in the restaurant biz. It's all about what? Location location location. Find a building to adhere to blue collar men.

Absolutely perfect! The couple that own it are so nice and willing to do pretty much anything to make your visit exactly what you want. Been twice and my 3yr old loves it! (No cinnamon in the chili 👍)

We love grabbing coneys here. The owners are very kind, the place has to be one of the cleanest restaurants I’ve ever been in(seriously), and the food is great!
Don’t sleep on the oatmeal cream pie cookies if they have them that day! Amazing!!!

I've been here twice and loved all the different coney varieties ive tried so far and looking forward to workin my way down the list to try them all. Owners are super friendly and the place is kept super clean and tidy. Cant recommend this place enough

This is a must try spot! I once thought the argument over "coneys" were settled here in Tulsa. I found challengers and they are making a statement here. The menu is fresh and creative. Things like "phony" dog (no dog at all haha), Philly dog, Moondog, and chicago dog join the ranks of your classic Coney. The dogs are fresh, chili is delicious, diced onions and Cheddar, topped with the toppings

Even better, the ownership is fun. I got to meet husband and wife and they were so fun and full of happiness. I then got the privilege to meet their daughter, who was baking the goods in the oven. This family rocks! I highly recommend making the drive and supporting this one.
