I Door Dashed the sliced brisket for lunch. I chose baked beans and potato salad as the 2 sides. The brisket wasn't real tender or juicy. Im not saying it was bad. I understand not eating dine in may have had something to do with that. It did have really good flavor. The BBQ sauce was really good. The potato salad was also very good. The item that stole the show was the baked beans!!! Probably the best I've had in Oklahoma. I will definitely eat here again.

If i could leave no stars i would. This crap they call Bar b que was horrible. It taste like it was boiled. I dont understand why open up a bar b que place if you not gone smoke or grill. Tulsa stick to Smokies!!!! Its the best thing going out this way period!!!!!!

On 10/1/25 I ordered the big dinner for 2 to go. The meats were fresh and full of flavor. It came with 5 sides. We had the corn, Mac and cheese, beans, and double okra.
All sides were amazing. I highly recommend eating here.

Yes, you should eat here. I grabbed carry out on a Wednesday night and they had the food ready in no time, ten minutes max. The catfish is to die for, so is the fried okra and burnt ends. Also, I’d recommend the grilled chicken salad. The prices are so reasonable when compared to places like RibCrib and the food is just better. Very Oklahoma, I love it. Support this business.

Review for Billy Ray’s Catfish & BBQ – Broken Arrow

For years, my family and I have been loyal customers of Billy Ray’s, consistently ordering BBQ and catfish. We supported this local spot not just out of convenience, but out of trust. That trust has been eroded—slowly, then all at once.

Over time, we’ve noticed a troubling pattern: our orders often contain a mix of freshly cooked fish and pieces that are clearly dried out and past their prime. Today, I decided to speak up. I politely asked the young lady at the window to show me the food before I paid. Her response? Dismissive and unprofessional. She refused, then told me, “You don’t have to buy it.” That’s not just poor customer service—it’s a slap in the face to a repeat patron.

When I called to express my concern, I was met with the same flippant tone. I was told not to come back. And let’s be honest: that’s a line many Black customers know all too well. “You don’t have to come back.” Translation: We’ll take your money, but not your voice. Not your dignity. Not your expectation of quality.

It’s disheartening to be treated like a nuisance instead of a valued customer. My years of patronage clearly meant nothing. So I’ll take my business elsewhere—even if it means driving further for catfish that’s hot, fresh, and served with respect. Because I’d rather pay for quality than tolerate disrespect.

Billy Ray’s may have once been a neighborhood staple. But when a business shows you who they are, believe them.

The ribs were greasy and fatty.
The pulled pork was not even cut. They just gave me a big chunk and it had no flavor and it was dark meat and not the good white pulled pork.
We sat at a table and the AC was dripping on us and our table.
