ippin ramen & sushi

Today (Feb 27, 2025) I went to Ippin with my family and normally I love going here, the food is always good and service is always up to par. Although tonight was not good in the service department, as when we were told by our waitress that they “forgot to put in the kids chicken nuggets and it will go in with the sushi order so it’s going to be a little bit” after bringing the rest of the food out , there was another table full of teenagers and what I can only assume were their friends as they mainly spent most of the time talking with them instead of attending table frequently. It took us a couple time to get their attention for stuff as in ( napkins, plates , and we never received refills ) , the main problem was the other table as there was one specific person (who was a Male) in their party our waitress was rather close with, they were so close that they BOTH went into the Women’s Restroom together!!!
Seeing this honestly tainted this restaurant for me and it’s just honestly so unprofessional and gross that it happened. Thankfully the other waitress (with the red hair) was more attentive and making sure we were okay.
We let another employee know what happened and when letting them know we were informed that our waitress was the senior waitress/ person in charge for that night, but this was very disappointing to see at such a great restaurant.
This was at the end of the day before closing mind you.

Walked in and was greeted coldly by the walking freezer unit at the front door. After I was seated, the rude waitress seemed put out because I ordered water. Then the food came out. I had the Ippin Ramen with an egg added. The egg was almost hard boiled. The broth was not tonkatsu. It was a clear greasy liquid. As I was eating my Ramen noodles, my water went dry. The waitress was nowhere to be found. When she did come to check on me, it was a quick OK and then a storm back into the back. So I go to restaurant for good food and for good service. Didn’t find either of these here. I’ll be surprised if they stay open for more than six months. I’m not returning here. They get zero votes with my dollars from now on. I’m just disappointed that I wasted my money there in the first place. If I have one positive thing to say about my experience there was that the chopsticks were of a higher quality.

HORRIBLE SERVICE we just left the place and we ordered sushi, appetizer and a hibachi. Server was a blond chick and had an AIRPOD in the whole time, took forever to even get our drinks. The sushi came out 20 minutes before the appetizer and we probably waited an hour for the hibachi. Server finally gives us the check then goes and EATS with her coworkers as we’re trying to get change to leave, probably waited 10 mins. We had to walk over to a random staff member just to pay. All this and there were only 2 other people in the whole restaurant….. the servers parents.

Came here with a party of 11 for a birthday and it was the biggest regret of our lives. A party member didn’t receive their food, and when it finally arrived their medium rare steak was so well done it tasted like rubber. When asked if it could be fixed we were told the kitchen was busy so it would probably be a really long time, but the dining room was not even half full. so the party member said forget it and ate everything but the steak. Never got checked on after that for refills or anything. When it came time to split the bill, they couldn’t figure out what food went on which check so we wrote it down for them… the bills still weren’t right. We sat impatiently for 30 minutes to an hour while waiting for the split bills to be correct. For the long awaited and burnt meal, we were offered 15% off and charged for an entree 10% more expensive instead of what was ordered. We are not ones to write reviews as we have all worked in the service industry but we have never experienced something quite this ridiculous.

This was my first time ordering, and the food was disappointing. I spent over $100 and won’t be ordering here again.

The main issue I had was the service. I ordered one char siu bowl with extra chicken, beef, noodle, and broth added in. Instead I got three different bowls, and two bowls of broth instead. And by time I realized the order was wrong I was already at the house and wasted 40 bucks on the wrong thing

Very middle of the road. My opinion the price doesn't match the quality. I'd still go if someone asked but would choose it again.

The food here is incredible, so many options for ramen and sushi, everything here is good u can’t go wrong with it unless you don’t like ramen or sushi.
