Phinesso Coffee House

After stumbling across a review on Facebook, I knew my husband and I had to check this place out. See, we recently stumbled across Vietnamese coffee this summer and my husband immediately ordered a phin so we could make them at home. The place is absolutely a total vibe. We each ordered an iced Phin milk coffee, a croffle with egg cream and I added a biscoff cookie warmed up. All of it was amazing and we devoured it all halfway before I realized I should have taken a picture. Now be prepared, as a caffeine lightweight, I realized 2 hours later while trying to fill in paper work for my car that I still had the jitters. The coffee is legit! We cant wait to go back.

This place deserves all the hype. The iced salted coffee was the best drink we ordered, though I also loved the Viet Milk Phin Coffee. I do think typical US coffee drinkers should note that Vietnamese coffee is made with Robusta beans while the vast majority of coffee consumed in the US is Arabica. Don’t let the subtle difference in taste throw you, instead try to enjoy it as something new!

Great coffee shop, but the bakery if why I’m writing this review. I absolutely loved the croffle, it’s something similar to what my parents made me growing up. Also the interior is very nice.

Very cool , spacious, delicious 😋 and polite place. We came here for the first time but this is not going to be last for sure. Decoration feel modern and inviting.

I heard about this place from a co worker who happens to be in the neighborhood and said they have Vietnamese coffee. I haven't had coffee like this in a while. The atmosphere and service is amazing. It takes a while to get your order cause of how busy they've been but overall the urgency to get my order to me was exceptional 👌 I'm happy I got to try this place. I will be visiting this place frequently.

I went here during the soft opening, and was impressed with how aesthetic the coffee shop is. The cups and packaging are cool. The Viet Phin coffee was 10/10. The Ube cheesecake was 9/10. The pandan waffle was 10/10. The staff are also friendly. The vibes? 10/10. Plus, it’s across the street from a used bookstore. I will be going back. ☕️

UPDATE:
I came back alone on a Tuesday; and it was so calm. People were quietly working on laptops, French music played, and every staff member was super friendly. I had the strawberry-matcha latte, and the strawberry-matcha croffle. I enjoyed both highly. 🍓 🍵

***Updated review: Instead of the owner being apologetic about the food poisoning. They completely disregarded the real issue. A customer spent all day in bed with headache and vomiting after consuming your menu, and other customers have experienced the same. Poor food handling and over brewed coffee. This isn’t our first time having Vietnamese coffee, tea and pandan, however last at Phinesso! Poor quality, dirty and trash all over the floors.

Experienced coffee and food poisoning. Ordered a peach lemongrass tea which came out pitch black and the foam on top, which there should be none. The tea should be orange and light colored. At 9am they were out of all croffle . The iced matcha was NOT good at all and the pandan waffle was all soggy. There’s one trash can for the entire coffee shop and it was overflowing with trash. Pretty bad experience!

Beautiful, unique coffee place that offers both delicious drinks and pastries. Everything from coffee, tea to croffles and cheesecake was made and served with finesse. Customer service was also superb. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something extraordinary and comforting.

Viet phin coffee was good! First time visiting, and service was excellent!
The place is aesthetically pleasing. Was really hoping to try a croffle but they ran out. Got a pandan waffle and it was great! Definitely going to go back to try their egg coffee and hopefully early enough for a croffle
