Are you tired of the same old same old? Then try a DIFFERENT flavor of Hispanic food! As the name implies, it’s “sort of” Puerto Rican. So, don’t come expecting the typical sofrito-taste, but I love that she has given the criollo staples her own creative touch! I also like that you can come grab a just a bite, but also have several full meal options. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because the rice is undercooked (capital sin in the Puerto Rican bible) The aroma of the pork has me salivating all the way home, and the flavor did not disappoint! The pork (pernil) is juicy and tender, and although I could do without the slightly spicy (because PR food has zero spicy) it was still soooo good! The stuffed potato balls (papas rellenas) are a nostalgic experience, oh man, I could live off of those 🥹 The piña colada was also very good, I like the little bits of coconut in the mix. I do wish they had more of the typical desserts, like pastelillos de guayaba and quesitos, but a boricua living in Oklahoma can only wish. I hope next time the rice is soft and loose and grainy-I’m sure it was just a fluke today. I can’t wait to return!

I recommend getting the pina colada freshly made out of a pineapple! Such a treat. I also learned about the meal prep which I find very helpful for my workweek lunches! If I’m being honest I’m just too lazy lol Get the creamy chicken. It’s delicious

This is a Puerto Rican food truck, with outdoor seating if you want it. I've been to Puerto Rico... and it's impossible to find bad food let me tell you, and most of it is in food trucks. This lives up to the name. There was a sampler tray and menus presented as we approached the window... and boy was the food good. The food was prepared quickly and was absolutely delicious!! We brought some home to my wife's parents (fresh from PR) AND THEY LOVED IT!! I Highly recommend if you miss the flavor of the island... or just wanna try something new... this was delicious!!!

We had the Pastelillo de carne combo and split it between two of us and it was plenty of food with the sides of Arroz con Gandules and plantains! Everything tasted very delicious and fresh!! Very friendly owner and let us taste some samples before we even ordered. We did not try the pork but sampled it and was super tasty and tender; will probably get that next time. Will definitely come back. This is a hidden gem!!!

After visiting family on the island this spring, I've been craving the slow roasted pork that I fell in love with. And I found it at Sorta Rican! Absolutely tender and perfectly seasoned pork was perfection! The rice was delicious, and the tostones brought back memories of exactly how my aunt cooks them! I will be making the 20 minute drive happily and often! My family had the beef and cheese "pockets of heaven" and they were also spot on! And don't get me started on the mango habanero salsa!

This was my first visit, but it won't be the last. We were greeted with a friend smile, shown the menu, and even given samples to try.
After ordering we sat in the cool shade of the near by tree, at one of many nice picnic tables.
Our food was brought out quickly, and it was definitely hot and fresh. The serving size is big, the price is right for the meal, and the flavors were great!
