I absolutely love a good Steak 'n Shake burger. We have made it a tradition to visit this location when having a night out to go view the lights at Rhema during Christmas time.

Facility seemed to be clean. The staff was decent. We only seen our waitress when she took our order and then when given the check to pay.

The food was good. The Christmas decor was cute. We will continue to visit when in town.

Wife was in the ER at BA Hillcrest. She had the single cheeseburger with fries and a strawberry shake. The cheeseburger was good especially with the added mayo and the pickle cucumber on it. The fries were fresh and hot she said. The shake wasn't too thick were you couldn't drink it through a straw. The drive-thru was great.

10.22.25 update to earlier review: Onions are much better now; almost sweet; mild!
Great patty, tallow fries, and bun. Loved real butter on it! Grilled onions well cooked, but too strong. Please use milder, ‘sweet’ onions! Also, need better tasting mayo; currently used mayo has an odd flavor. Will skip that next time and just enjoy the butter taste. They omitted the yellow cheese, as requested; so good job with special requests.
