Good food, different options from the typical places we would find in DFW, which is great because we were not in DFW. Salsa was very mild and thin, wife liked it, I prefer a bit more spice and chunks. The atmosphere was a little sketchy, bar vibe but everyone was super friendly, pleasant and food was

The food was good. I liked the chips and salsa. I just wish the chili sauce didn't taste like canned chili but overall it was good. I appreciate that they don't put veggies in the rice. I hate when the rice is mostly peas! I would visit this restaurant again.

They did an awesome job with our group of 9 on a Saturday night!! I got beef enchiladas, pork tamale and beef tostada and all were delicious. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food even one who ordered a chicken fried steak at a Mexican restaurant. Great and friendly staff.

Never go here with 8 or more people unless you're willing to pay for tiny portions and a mandatory 15% gratuity charged against the total PLUS tax.

We ate here while in the area and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious and authentic. My husband loves to try out different kinds of salsa picosa (very hot salsa) and he said theirs was very good! We also enjoyed the beer on tap. Service was excellent. Would recommend to anyone.

Food was good. About as good as to be expected for hochatown. Service was excellent and they were very attentive. Atmosphere, definite zero. It looks like they are a restaurant by day and a dive bar by night. I honestly think the building owner/bar owner leases out the kitchen to the Mexican restaurant by day. The bar is definitely a dive.

White queso was terrible. I tasted like gravy . I wish I would’ve ordered Salisbury steak . Fajitas had no taste and the queso tasted like pace picante sauce . I will say the Coca Cola was on point .
My wife and I had Fajitas, she had shrimp and I had beef. Both were excellent. Sopapillas for dessert. Afterwards we played pool. Great visit. Great food. Friendly staff. Great place.

Blandest Mexican food I've ever had. Tasted like they pre-cook everything and steam it back to temperature. There was no trace of seasoning on anything. The white queso was like eating milk on chips. McDonald's has better Mexican than this place. If you're thinking about going here... ABORT ABORT!

Awesome service, environment, and food is delicious with yummy limes, tacos, and even a crab plate. Romeo the owner is wonderful, always has been, and of course has a friendly and fast staff. Thank you Chiggers for providing a place for Don Ponchos, where you can enjoy Mexican food in a cool place.
