Wonderful atmosphere!!! The food was phenomenal!!! I had the grilled catfish and it was served in a bed of rice. Absolutely delicious!! I had a baked sweet potato with butter and brown sugar. I was skeptical about ordering catfish, as I am a little snobbish about it. But to my surprise it was seasoned perfectly!!! I ate every bite!!!Kiss the Chef!!!
Reminds me of a friend’s cabin but with a bigger living area filled with tables. LoVE how many locals came in to dine. Warm & hospitable staff. Good hearty food. Most of the food we ordered were large portions for a good price. The best was the chicken livers & chivken fried steak. My least fave was the open-faced steak sandwich, which was small, Flat, & dry. The steak was horrible. My wife and I both had the sirloin. It was probably the worst steak I've ever eaten. It says on the menu that they char grill the steaks. Ours seamed like it ws cooked in a skillet with water. I don't know how to explain it. It was kinda mushy but tough at the same time. If that makes sense. It did take a while to get our food also.
