Rock Bottom Boyz BBQ

Today we arrived at 12:00 noon for lunch no one arrived during this time except for our party of 8. To start with the bathroom was horrible and it had to be from the night before . There was one lady working and she said it was her first day . There is no way that one lady was making fresh bbq . Secondly there was no ice in the ice machine and when my grandson used the fountain machine to get his drink there were ants in it . I then looked in my cup and was shocked ! I went straight to the counter and got a refund and we left . Our first clue should have been on a busy holiday weekend that’s there was no one in there to eat . My second clue should have been the child’s bed in the corner with children’s things there as well . While I love children and I get having to bring them to work because it happens . It was the oddest thing ever .

I would eat here again. Price point matches the food quality. Lady working was spectacular.

Maybe we went on an off day, but the service was terrible and the food was just okay. My husband filled his cup with soda and there was ants all in it. We brought it to the attention of the lady working and she just said “yea we have issues with sugar ants, here’s another cup and I’ll run the fountain to make sure there’s no more.” She was very rude, never spoke as we entered or departed. This is our first and last time to visit.

Did not have a problem finding a seat as there was only four customers sitting at 1:00 pm. We had the brisket, beans and potato salad for sides. For Bar-B-Q brisket, it was a huge disappointment. The only thing that made it Bar-B-Q was the two containers of sauce that you self served. Brisket did not have a smoke ring which eliminated being cooked in a smoker, it was not the least bit tender, which eliminated using a roaster oven. My guess, cooked in a oven with foil over it. We also noticed when ordering that there was a sign at the counter that they were out of Sausage, along with something else. This was conducive with another two local restaurants being out of supplies.

Workers were so kind! Not too many people when I went so there was plenty of room, the food was AMAZING. Great meaty ribs and the best smoked potato salad I have had by far. 10/10 recommend trying the honey bourbon sauce!!

1. We ordered the food to go. Thank you. After taking it home we had to throw it away. It was of the poorest quality. Brisket was tough, and the coleslaw was sour.

We went and ate at the casino afterwards, which was delicious.

I got a stuffed baked potato and it was great! Very large and well done!!!!

Good place for bbq if you're visiting the area. The pulled pork was our favorite.

The smoked potato salad is where it's at. The brisket and sausage were good as well. I tried the honey bourbon and hot flavored bbq sauces both delicious. I'm from Texas so my only critiq is you need a signature dessert of some sort and a slice of bread with bbq. Would definitely eat here again.

Today we stoped by and ordered a Bbq pizza 2 Brisket sandwich and 2meat 2 sides to go and when I arrived back home the portion was very disappointing!!! Missing a side on one dish learning experience not worth the price.

Delicious food. Had loaded Mac n cheese with pulled pork. Ordered at the counter and they brought food to you. Descent prices. Good portions

Maybe we came during the holidays.. I don’t know. Food was very bad. The potato salad was okay. Everything else though was disappointing. We got sausages, brisket, chicken and brisket sandwich. The sausage has a weird texture. Brisket was very dry and chewy. The chicken was ridiculously dry and falling to pieces when our kids tried to eat it. Nothing was barbecued. It tasted more oven roasted than anything. I do not recommend and would not come back.

My husband said, “make sure you talk about the potato salad”. So, here you go. It’s good. I read another review and the girl said, “baked potato casserole”. That’s exactly what it is. Smoked, baked potato casserole. It ain’t bad… it just wasn’t seasoned. In fact, none of the food was seasoned. The BBQ is okay at best. It was pretty pricey. The girl working there was doing her best and she was super sweet. The pinto beans were terrible. I asked if they were flavored and was told yes. I would’ve preferred Heinz’s pork and beans from the can to theirs. Absolutely awful. Would we eat here again? Probably not. This is BBQ for people who don’t know what BBQ truly is. Also, where the heck was the bread? No bread at all.

We stopped here during our trip to Hochatown. We had hears great things about the potato salad. It really was yummy, but word of warning, it is NOT potato salad. It's baked potato casserole. The brisket was just ok. The restaurant was dark and dated. Sadly, there was only 1 person working inside. She was doing her best, but was not familiar with the POS system that was used and it showed. Staffing needs to be addressed ASAP.
