To my fellow POC that may be considering this place, reconsider. Didn’t give us the complimentary rolls (that every other table had). Server went and checked on a table of NON POC several times (refilling drinks, etc.) before we even got our drinks. Appetizers took 20+ minutes & we left before they even made it to the table. Glass was dirty (my sprite was brown?). Overall terrible experience & customer service. Don’t waste your time spending money where they will automatically assume you won’t tip (which I tip very well when deserved) so they give you shitty service. Wouldn’t even trust them not to do something to your food.

My husband and I visited here a year ago and I absolutely loved it! I follow their social media and have been waiting for a chance to come back as we live 3 hours away. We went this past weekend. There were maybe 5 tables occupied, including ours. They were out of menus at first, which we could deal with, but we waited 25 minutes, watching our waitress walk around doing everything other than checking tables to see if we would like to order. We finally decided we had waited long enough and left. I was so disappointed that the experience was not as enjoyable as the first time.

I have been twice and they never seem to have a bartender so you can’t order any drink and half the things on the menu aren’t available. The food was served cold overall a bad experience I would not recommend especially if bringing a large party they don’t have the staff to accommodate you

Called once to get daily specials said thanks and hung up. Called about 8 times in a row to make a to go order and got no answer. Thought they must be busy. So I stopped in to order before running errands and the place is completely empty. I mean no one at any tables no one at the counter. Nope I'll order from somewhere else since they can't be bothered to answer the phone. Won't be eating there for a while

Absolutely abysmal experience last night on 9/20/2025 on all fronts. Honestly, this was the experience of a kitchen nightmares episode and I would not be shocked if this place was out of business in a month.
All of the positive reviews are likely locals leaving positive reviews to bring in tourist business. As a fellow Oklahoman this was a truly embarrassing experience and not a representation of our state! Stay away from this restaurant and save your hard earned money.
Dinner service took 2.5 hours, and food was served cold with minimal to no seasoning. I watched our plates sit in the kitchen window for 30-45 minutes while servers stood around. This food was no better than something you could buy frozen from Pruetts down the road.
Server did not keep drinks filled and did not perform a first bite check back. She did not have any knowledge of the menu and seemed to either be lost or not care. Bar was closed on a Saturday night.
Multiple tables left without paying because drink orders were taking at least 15-20 minutes. Entree orders 30-45 minutes. Service and food presentation an hour or more.
Cool renovated historical building but sign says steakhouse and shoppe. You’re not a steakhouse for serving one subprime ribeye and there was not a shop in sight!
Save yourself money and time and buy groceries and grill yourself a steak!
Tourists be careful going to places in this area - many restaurants have premium prices due to the location with low quality food and service. I highly recommend NOT eating out when visiting broken bow.

Wow! My husband and I visited Rouge Local and it was perfection! I had a chicken fried steak and it fork tender, no knife needed!! My husband had the ribeye and he said it was cooked perfectly and delish!!! On top of the food the wait staff, incredible! It is LaBor Day weekend so we knew they would be busy, we got seated right away and service was top notch! 10/10
The food was amazing especially for the prize it was me and my loves fourth anniversary I have never been there before it was lovely the atmosphere was very warm and inviting the food was made with care very gourmet for the price definitely would go back

The food was WONDERFUL! Large portions as well, as you can see in the pictures! Prices are good too! Very friendly waitstaff and the atmosphere was great!! Would definitely recommend!

I am not a local but Dax and Alberto sure made me feel at home!!!! I came in for their lunch special during dinner time and they were still kind enough to make it for me. BY FAR my best meal in broken bow. Listen I know yall have the best corn dogs ever but the meal I had here is beyond the corn dogs I’ve been eating this week. I can’t wait to come back and see these boys and order some yummy food!!!!!
