EXTREMELY kid friendly!!! Our 2 year old loved coloring on the table and running around. He is also a picky eater and loved the Mac&Cheese! The fried chocolate pie was also incredible!! The chicken and dumplings were also yummy.

Kid-friendliness: Kids can color on the tables and kids meal was also a hit

Costumer service was very top notch and friendly. The coleslaw was Aaaaamazing! The fried fish was good but a little under seasoned, I'd still recommend it. And we also loved the fried squash. My husband and I split the 1 lb fish meal and it was more than enough for the two of us.

Fresh fried food, handmade fresh cocktails, indoor and outdoor seating. Bring your kids bring your dogs this place won’t disappoint. The staff are so full of life and the experience is a 10 in my book.

I wanted squash for my meal. The waitress took my order. Right before the entrees were delivered, they told me they were out of squash.

Lunch time, and we were sited very quickly. Carrie provided fret service. Food was delicious. We had fired pickles, jalapeño, fried green tomatoes and boudain..all very delicious. The fried green tomatoes were fresh and thick sliced and not too much batter. Catfish and shrimp were equally delicious and fresh.
Great atmosphere 👌 👏 👍🏾!

The hostess was so dismissive and full of attitude we wanted to sit outside and she sat us inside. It wasn’t very busy and out food took forever (we didn’t order fried chicken) and all of the food we got was cold. Our waitress checked on us one time and I didn’t get a refill. The fried onions were cold but tasty anyways.

My wife and I really enjoyed Blue Rooster, so if you’re in the area give it a try. Fried bologna sandwich is spot on!

First of all, the menu is super small. Very limited selection! Our meal was just all around not good. We had a table of 9 and no one liked anything they ordered. It was kind of a shock because usually we can always find at least one thing on the table we like when we go out. The sweet tea was great, but the food overall was just not good. Catfish was VERY VERY dark and fishy (muddy) and the chicken tenders were tough. They also have a sweet honey-like batter on them which wasn’t a great combination in my personal opinion. French fries were blanned bagged frozen fries. Waitress seemed put out with us as soon as we walked in the door. It was also so dang cold in the restaurant we were all miserable through the meal. There was no silverware or napkins on our table and when we asked, it took forever to get it. We wanted to try the fried pies but were a little afraid to with how lunch went. We ended up leaving most of our food on the table. We had high hopes but left disappointed. I’m going ahead and giving two stars because this place is super cute and the concept is nice, but the food needs major work. Doubt we will come back when we visit again.

The food was alright aside from taking very long to get made. The service was as good as it could be due to our server being new and trying her best. The management was absolutely horrible, the server was clearly struggling with being new serving a 9 top and received no help from the manager on duty. On top of not helping her staff the manager then went on to shit talk my group to some regulars while her server was still stuggling to get our orders figured out. Other than her it has potential to be a really great place to eat.

I recently visited a local eatery and tried their chicken and pie. Unfortunately, I found both to be over-fried, which made them quite dry and unappetizing. It also seemed like they might have used old oil, as there was a noticeable off taste. On a positive note, they did have a designated area for my dog, which was a nice touch and much appreciated. The chocolate pie filling was good as well. Because of this pet-friendly feature and the homemade aspect, I'm giving them 3 stars. With some improvements in the kitchen, this place could be much better!

Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon, so wasn't very busy. Friendly service, and on point with her recommendations! Got the fried chicken, shrimp basket, and spicy fried chicken sando. Fried chicken here is the jam - but the shrimp basket wasn't really impressive. Good vibe/decor - and good selection of local drinks!
