My brother and I came here for lunch. I was told it was an authentic Mexican restaurant. While, I wouldn't say it is authentic I will say it was delicious food. I went to order a horchata, but they dont serve those there. I didnt press about any different flavors of Agua fresca. Assumed if they didnt have one they wouldn't have the others. I ordered the taquitos and they tasted amazing. I would highly recommend this spot if you need a fix without concerning yourself too much on the authenticity of the whole vibe. The servers were polite and attentive. We got there during the post church rush so I felt bad for the 3 servers taking care of the whole place. They handled themselves well alternating between taking orders, running food and checking on tables. Seems like a better system for them than sections. All in all, the only reason I didnt put this place as a 5 star is because it looks like it presents itself as an authentic Mexican restaurant, but is more like tex-mex.

Ordered two meals to go and a 20 oz salsa on 2-2-25. Cost was $20+. Got home and had no chips. Called the restaurant about missing chips and was asked if I said I wanted chips. I said I didn’t know you had to order chips when you ordered salsa. They said yes, you do need to ask for chips. I went back to El Charro to get the chips and was charged $7 for the attached chips. I live in OKC and there isnt a Mexican restaurant in town that doesn't provide COMPLIMENTARY chips, salsa and queso with EVERY MEAL. I understand paying extra for a larger salsa, but this price is unreasonable! Now I know why there was no one in the restaurant at 6:30 pm! They are pricing themselves out of business!

The food wasn't bad. But it wasn't "good" either. The "service" was two teenagers who were more worried about touching on each other than taking care of the ONE table they had. I got up and got our refills. They were completely annoyed to help us and when I said something, she told me "I'm sorry you feel that way." No care for the customers. Take your time and go back to the next town over. Don't waste your time here.

I absolutely love the food and service. Service is amazing. The paintings on the wall set the mood and help add colour, Food is delicious and filling!Sometimes they have slow days (understandable) or they have busy days (also understandable), but despite that, place totally rocks.Love the place, 10/10, would recommend.

Kid-friendliness: They have tv so your kids can watch stuff while you chit-chat with friends/significant other.

The food is usually good enough, but their prices are higher than the Mexican places in Weatherford. They don't even offer margaritas to help you be okay with the unfortunate prices. Otherwise, not a bad place to eat.
