This used to be our family's favorite place for Chinese but oh how this place has gone downhill. By the empty parking lot and lack of diners on a Saturday early evening, that should have been a red flag indicator. Our egg rolls were half frozen, chewy and tasted horrible. They used to be crispy and so good. This place is a prime example of Shrink-flation. The prices went up, the quality and portions have gone down. Way, way down. My pork had a very funky bad odor tonight and the meat was chewy. It was not edible. Either they got new cooks or they just aren't trying anymore. The key to a successful restaurant is good quality food, decent portions and prices so your customers come back. Unfortunately I will not be dining here ever again. Small town Chinese restaurant charging New York City prices and delivering low grade horrible quality Chinese good that tastes not fresh. You've been warned. Go down to Elgin 20 mins down the 44 and try their Chinese take out for half the prices and double then portions. That's how you do it. Something tells me this business won't survive if they continue to deliver awful overpriced Chinese food. So sad.

Went with friends. Got a sweet and sour chicken meal with rice and a drink. Next time I think I will get a combination meal. Need more side orders included with meals. Food is delicious but rice is not enough, you always want something else too.Had fun, enjoyed it.

Let's start with the atmosphere. The dining area is absolutely beautiful. It is clean and nicely decorated. The staff is also very polite. I think that is where my compliments stop. The buffet is closed and it is used by staff to serve soups and sauces and things. The sodas were in bottles, no fountain drinks, so no free refills. No pre-sweetened tea, only unsweetened and sugar packets (fine, but some people don't like that so that's why I bring it up).Prices are very high, almost double other places, for the same thing/same amount. Egg rolls were small, about half the size of other places. We got the wanton appetitizers, and they were definitely not what was expected. Not necessarily bad, but different. The sauce was overly salty and too many red pepper flakes, not what I am used to coming with my wantons, but I at least tried to use it several times before giving up. The egg roll was good even though it was very small. The orange chicken was labeled as spicy on the menu and wasn't what we would consider spicy. It had some heat to it but not enough really. The broccoli was bland and plain, no seasoning whatsoever. While the waitresses were all very polite and kind, they were also very slow. Also it seemed like the busier they got the harder it was for some to keep up with their tables.I had high hopes for this place and was sadly disappointed.

My husband and I ordered takeout on Friday, 3/3/23. We hadn't had Chinese food in awhile, so we were really looking forward to our meal. Wow, has this place changed! You will now get one-half the food you received in the past. Usually I can make two meals from the chicken fried rice; it was barely one meal this time. And I think it's ridiculous that you have to ask for fortune cookies! We got TWO cookies for two meals and two egg rolls, and when one employee was going to give me more fortune cookies, the other one piped up and said, "Oh, she already got fortune cookies!" I told them they were really stingy with the fortune cookies. I should have asked her who elected her fortune cookie police. We will most likely not go back. EVER. We spent over $32 for two dinners and two egg rolls and barely had enough to fill us up. Sad.

Very good sweet and sour chicken. Chicken fried rice, vegetables, soup and egg roll.No sweet tea, but the tea is brewed and very good with sugar on the table. All soft drinks are in bottles.
