You should be eating breakfast here, lunch options are not their specialty. Breakfast food is consistent and good, what you'd expect from an old school diner. Service is just average with most of the servers being fairly grouchy and overworked. A note to fellow diners, at this seat yourself diner there are people waiting at peak times, please check before seating yourself. Been here many times where people walk in and seat themselves in front of others that have been waiting for 10 mins.

Great place for a quick meal. Had breakfast and it was decent. Service was quick. Waitresses did a good job, but we're not what I would call friendly. No smiles, just efficient.
Place was busy with older people and workers. Tells you it's decent and reasonably priced at least for breakfast!

Just ate a delicious breakfast here. I got the Bomb! It was 2 scrambled eggs on top of a biscuit, with gravy on top and 2 pieces of sausage. $8.19. Definitely a bargain and it was truly good!

The food is very good. wait staff is friendly and I have never had to ask for a refill on my drink.. even if it's just water. my coffeecup or tea glass has never ran out. looking for good comfort food, friendly service and a laid back atmosphere? This is the place to come. BTW Friday's is all you can eat FISH. and they are open till 8p.m. on Fridays. come judge for yourself. Fred's is the place.

Home style diner, prompt attentive service and quick delivery of our food (despite a very busy Saturday morning rush). My vegetable omelet was tasty, filling (all veggies were fresh with the exception of the mushrooms). Personally I would have liked more cheese in the omelet (but I am a cheese glutton, so that's not a criticism). Hashbrowns had that perfect balance of crispy tenderness, the biscuit and gravy was also very tasty. And the home made salsa I received upon request added some VERY tasty heat to my omelet! Coffee was refilled before I ever needed to ask. Drop in, sit awhile, and enjoy!

I sat there for over 10 minutes and was never asked what I wanted to drink. This is the 2nd time in less than a month this has happened. I'll never come back

Last Friday: fish rubbery, beans cold, coleslaw was hot & we were afraid to eat because of food poisoning, hushpuppy's raw in middle & had no seasonings. What has happened? We use to love this place.
