Hammett House Restaurant

Loved our short visit to Claremore, OK. This restaurant has delicious home style food, loved the fried chicken, fresh salad and okra. The blueberry pie a la mode was wonderful. Staff were very attentive and friendly!

We came in to eat for our Valentines Dinner. Honestly? I came in expecting to be let down. Hammett House was my first job. I knew their was new owners. I hadn’t been in years. I wanted to eat what I used to love. The Hawaiian Chicken and brown rice. Y’all, it was like a blast from the past. It was exactly like I remembered. It was incredible! I plan on coming back more often now!

Menu has recently changed from the past uploads, so I too new pics for everyone. They’ve removed many options so be sure to check it out before you go. This was our first time here and two of the items that I wanted to try were no longer available. Food was good but it was pretty expensive. My Hawaiian chicken breast was $20 and pie was $8 each, so keep that in mind as well. I would probably go back when we’re in the area, but it wouldn’t be one I’d go out of my way for.

Yay! A place in Claremore that has a really decent Veggie burger!! 😁
Hadda take the deep fried green tomato off, but, No cheese for this vegan, steamed broccoli w/out butter! It was good!

Ideal for a 25+ dinner event. Great service and great food. Pies were o-mazing! If you are pre-planning ahead, ask them if you can pre-order the Amish meatloaf, it runs out quick. Better menu available for large crowds versus the Tavern Restaurant in town. First dinner in Claremore and it was worth the trip for a family gathering. BZ!!

This place was absolutely delicious!!! We went for one of our thanksgivings! Didn’t want to cook this year, so we went here. Best decision ever!

we loved coming to the Hammett House but over the last few months has gone down hill. they no longer offer cod, no longer have specials and changed menu and staff is lacking. Hate to say but will not come back.

Small out of the way restaurant in Claremore Oklahoma. Very good food with reasonable prices. Also good service.

Ordered the special just to be told they were out. Got a salad with my next choice and she forgot the crackers. She asked if we wanted any and I said yes please. Never got them. Brought out the blooming onion and it was under cooked and the outer skin was not taken off. Not a big deal we just ate the inside part. Food came out and I moved my salad out of the way. She took my salad out of my hand. Had asked for the burger to be well done but it came out bloody. Mac and cheese tasted like it came from a box. Good things are that the chicken strips were good and we never had to ask for a refill.

Took my wife and kids in.
No alcohol. No biggie. Then it came to regular drinks, they couldn't give me anything with carbonation. Honestly just looks like a place to sip unsweet tea. We left after they couldn't give me a Dr pepper. Pathetic.

It was not as good as when bill byard owned it.I won't be back
