Canelo's Mexican Grill and Bar

We have eaten here almost every time we go to Clinton with outstanding food. This was our go to place. We ate there tonight, thinking we were going to get the same delicious flavorful food. Service was excellent, folks were courteous and say is quickly even though the place was packed. We ordered cheese sauce with the chips and salsa; absolutely delicious. I tend to mix the salsa with the cheese sauce, mmmmm good! Unfortunately this is where it ended. I ordered two enchiladas, one beef, one chicken, and a taco. Received our food fairly quickly. There was absolutely zero seasoning on the beef in the taco and enchilada. I put a lot of salt on the chicken enchilada so it wasn't bad. If you like bland food, you'll love this place. If you but into the false idea salt is bad for you from the 1980's, this place is for you. I'll not be going back. It was $75 for 4 people and the food was bland with no real flavor. I was truly disappointed. Because as ya'll know, most Mexican restaurants usually taste the same. This one used to be unique. I'm not sure what they changed; but it needs to go back to Flavor Town and put out that delicious Mexican cuisine it used to. Excellent service! Great people! Bland food :~(

Fajita meat was gray and bland and 2 of the 4 people in my party had hair in their food. Terribly disappointed by my last visit.
