Our family loves his brisket tacos and especially the monster burrito (with green sauce on the side).
When I found his cafe (in Colbert) was just 15 minutes away, we try to make it at least twice a month, the drive is actually not that far, easy 15 minute pleasant drive .

So worth the drive for comfort food and I call in for pickup and it’s ready when I get there.
It’s a home cooked meal and everyone looks and feels at home, so enjoy watching his packed restaurant and they definitely hustle.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ernie’s Cafe in Colbert, Oklahoma is a hidden gem! The owners are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home — you can tell it’s a true family-owned and operated place. The food is absolutely delicious. We tried the burgers, catfish, and chicken, and everything was cooked perfectly. Next time, I’m definitely going for the chicken fried steak — I’ve heard it’s a must! If you’re anywhere near Colbert, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won’t be disappointed!

We were driving by and found this cafe and I’m so happy we ended here! I absolutely loved the service and the food was so good with top offs of great Hot coffee. Definitely if you’re near by it’s a must. Loved it ❤️

Walking into Ernie’s Café feels like stepping back into a familiar chapter of my life—one filled with early mornings, good friends, and even better food. We used to hit the original Ernie’s nearly every day, and while times have changed, the heart of this place hasn’t. I’m so happy that it’s been brought back by Chris and Jennifer Hix, Ernie’s grandson and his lovely wife! They are just the sweetest and the food is insanely good!
My favorite is the brisket breakfast taco, but don’t even get me started on the Monster Burrito. It lives up to the name and then some. Packed to the brim and bursting with flavor, it’s the kind of meal that leaves you full in the best way!
Ernie’s isn’t just a café. It’s a time capsule with a griddle, serving up comfort, tradition, and a reminder that some things—thankfully—never change.

My family went to eat breakfast at Ernie’s this past Sunday. My 7 year old daughter only eats a few things and one of her favorite things is an egg in the basket. Chris made his version and it wasn’t the way my daughter likes it so he went back and made it exactly how she wanted! They were very accommodating to my kids and also the chicken and dressing was top notch!!❤️

It's definitely some of the best cookin you had since Grandma's! Me and my wife switched from Cracker Barrel to Erine's! If you are into a good country breakfast on the go, then the Breakfast bowls are for you! Their omelets, out of this world! And don't get me staring on the BLTs and burgers 🍔! Definitely stop by and get you a meal you won't forget!
