Gibbys South in Your Mouth

My first time eating inside and I couldn’t have asked for a better meal or server. The food was hot and fresh and the sweet tea was oh so good! I love Cajun food and stop in Louisiana once a year to eat on our way to the beach. Claremore is lucky to have this place and I can’t wait to come back! I think my servers name was Judy, she was a stunning lady with a super cool cut and contagious personality! She was so kind and took the best care of us.

This is hands down one of the best restaurants in Oklahoma. The food is fantastic and the service was even better! Do yourself a favor and try it out ASAP.

This was the second time at Gibbÿ C's. the food was excellent as I hoped . We had a minor situation that happened and I won't go into detail but I will say this establishment not only corrected it but made our dining experience perfect overall. The manager and the owner herself came and not only to introduce themselves to me and my son's but made sure to make sure our dining experience was a great experience. The personal touch goes a long way and I would recommend them to everyone seeking great food but outstanding service as well. Thank you so much Sincerely David Shaulis and family.

Gibby C's is worth the drive from Tulsa. They are in the perfect location of historic downtown Claremore. The starter homemade biscuits were delicious and my husband and myself enjoyed the fried & blacken shrimp. The coleslaw & fries were very good and my husband said the grits were the best he had ever had before. The only reason my husband gave four stars on the service is because she gave him sweet tea instead of un-sweetened. The atmosphere is nice both upstairs and down, but the entrance had empty food cases and there was a large blank black bulletin board that would be nice to have painted with their logo and welcome. I believe the owner / chief came by our table to check on our orders and we had a nice conversation. She told us about their Sunday special. We will defiantly be back with the whole family!

Up until we got our food, everything went well. I am only sharing my personal opinion. I didn't care for the food. I'm sure others love the food here, but it was not cooked to our liking. The fried oysters were very mushy and wet, not my preference. The catfish texture felt undercooked to me, but not raw. I prefer natural cut fries, not frozen that appear to have some sort of breading on them. The breading was falling off of the frog legs. I'm not saying the food was bad, just not to our liking. This review is meant to share our experience and inform other customers that might share our preferences.

Stopped in with my mother for lunch, and I couldn't have been happier. They brought out some garlic butter biscuits, which were fantastic. We also got boudin balls for an appetizer and I was very happy, great flavor. I got the onion burger which was great, a real hand pressed patty. My mother got the catfish with cheese grits and coleslaw, she cleaned her plate. Overall it was great, I would call it a Cajun Oklahoma fusion restaurant. Having lived in Louisiana I can say Ms. Gibby delivered on the flavor that I have missed after moving away. I would highly recommend putting Gibby's on your list to try, and I suspect if you go once you'll go back again and again. Thank you Gibby's everything was wonderful.

The service and atmosphere were great, unfortunately the food was just "meh." Almost everything just seemed so under seasoned. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great either. The okra was the only thing that was actually bad, half was soggy and the rest was so burnt I couldn't chew it and tasted like fishy oil. The red beans and rice were really good and the hush puppy was yummy!

First time coming here with my husband. This food was so well prepared. It was not spicy at all but had flavor. I had the shrimp. Coleslaw and salad. Sooo good. Danny was our waitress. Friendly and attentive. Loved this place from beginning to end. Oh yeah carrot cake was so moist and delicious. This place is 5 star plus. Thank you!

Gibbys was absolutely tantalizing to my tummy!!! Staff was nice and efficient. We had a group of 11 and no one left dissatisfied. I would recommend anyone looking for a taste of the South to stop in. Can’t wait to go back on a Sunday to try the buffet.,

The food was absolutely amazing. I tried the gator for the first time and really liked it. Three service was good and so was the atmosphere. I will definitely go back again.
