Great nostalgic atmosphere and setup like a steakhouse with memorabilia and gifts. The food is okay the meat is the highlight. Mashed potatoes was instant and bacon was pre cooked and weren’t my thing.

The service was good and staff is friendly. The atmosphere makes me think of a good BBQ place or steakhouse (that's not what this is though). Nice gifts in the gift shop, though!
The food fills the belly, but is rather bland in flavor (natural or otherwise). Fried pork chop, two burgers, and a BLT, all was just ok. If you like subtle natural flavors (think of an old cafeteria where nothing is added to enhance flavors and the natural flavor is muted), this hits the spot. But if you want seasoning or salt, this isn't the place. Really good gravy though, which saved the fried pork chop.

My first time there and I was impressed. We had a large group and our little waitress Sherry (spelling?) nailed it. She was friendly, funny and on the ball. The whole staff was friendly and sweet. The place was clean. Fantastic food and really fair prices. Check out the menu. It had games for kids, lots of gifts, open bar and TVs in the dining area. My kind of atmosphere. Oh and a good place to have a good ole fiddle tune jam. Thank you for having us.
We ate there for Father's Day. He can eat anything, but he said it was the worst steak he ever had. It was tough, stringy & not seasoned very well. The baked potato was bland, hard & the skin was tough. The baked beans tasted like canned pork & beans with some seasoning. My french fries were hard. The chocolate cream pie was bland & you could tell it was store bought. The catfish, rolls & tea was good. I bragged before I brought him there because it has always been a good place to eat, but I was embarrassed & very disappointed of the taste & quality of food we were served. I paid $44.00 for the worst food. Will not be back nor brag to people about how good it was.

We had lunch there today arrive right around noon, the place was not busy at all for lunchtime. The service was slow and took a long time to get to the table. I know that they claim not to be a fast food place but for 2 sandwiches and fries the wait time was much too long for how slow the cafe was. I had the Mark Daddy sandwich the ham was very thin and there wasn't much of it and was over cooked and the cheese was only half melted. The french fries were way over cooked and way to crunchy and some had been cooked so long that all the meat of the french fry had been cooked out and was hollow. I keep getting told that the food there is good but this was my second time eating there once for lunch and once for dinner both times I was not impressed with the whole experience and i doubt that I will be having a third tryrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
