They have one of the best burgers that I've ever eaten every time we stop here. The food is always fantastic and the people are always great.

I've only visited this establishment one time and stayed for a couple of hours. I didn't know if I could find the place, so I called ahead and spoke to one of the folks there. They were very friendly and understanding of my trip and even told me where to park, and which door would be the best to come in to.
When I arrived, I called back and was told to come to the double doors, and I did. The lady that opened the door to greet me had a warm smile and hugged me as if I were family and gave me such a warm welcome as if she'd known me for years.
She personally led me to where the owner was and even introduced me to him. With a firm handshake, a smile, and a studious gaze, he also welcomed me warmly. After a tour of the facility, he invited me to the dining room, where he seated me at the table and sat down with me.
I told him of my trip and my limited time and that I would probably just have something to drink. He obliged me as if I were the most important person there.. talk about service!
Before long, our small talk turned into reminiscing of yesterdays and other places, other times, other lifes, and before I knew it, my time was up, and I had to get going.
With that same warm smile, a firm handshake, and even a hug, he and all the others invited me back. I left there with the feeling of family, of........home.
Ok, I must admit that I'm being a little partial here. You see, when I called ahead, I already knew those folks. The person that answered the phone was his son. The lady that answered the door was the owner's wife, Patty. And the man she led me to was the owner, Larry Fulbright...or rather, as I last saw him, and his family, in May, 1991, Colonel Larry Fulbright, Commander, DISCOM, 2nd Infantry Division, Korea,
Despite the passage of 31 years, they greeted me as if it were only yesterday that we saw each other.
For those who read reviews and those that read this to the end, there is a reason why I wrote this. The folks that own and personally run this establishment are genuine, attentive, and personable. They were that way over 30 years ago, and they are that way today.
I can tell you that, when it comes to fair and balanced, Larry Fulbright is one of the most impartial person on the face of this earth. Back during our military days and when I knew him as COLONEL Fulbright, it didn't matter if you were a buck private. IF you were in the right, he would do his best to collapse the very walls of hell for you... no matter who was involved. And if you were in the wrong, he would put you within those walls of hell... no matter who you were. He did a great service to his country and added value to MANY people's lives and he did it back then and he and is family still do it today...even it's a cold drink, or a hamburger.
To the OWNER of this fine establishment:
Sir, it was an honor to be around you, to know you, to be mentored by you...to remember you...then and now.
SECOND TO NONE, SIR...SECOND TO NONE.

Owner might be one of the rudest people you meet. Food is also very dry. Don’t take your kids here if you don’t want them hearing filth come out of the owners mouth. He should know better. It’s not surprising they don’t get much business. I would recommend another establishment. Until they get a new or better owner, this is not a family joint. If you don’t agree with anything the guy says, you will hear about it. And loudly. Ask anyone in town, his name is not one people are happy with. I now see why. I should’ve listened. Oh well. It’s hard to believe a grown man acts like that… how sad for him.

It was end of season so nothing was open... Like if it was open season. Other than that... We ordered burgers and fried mushrooms .... Be prepared for ginormous sized food. Service and food was exceptional. Definitely go again during open season.

Even with Google Maps, this family-owned family-friendly establishment is a bit difficult to find. The workers - mostly an extended family of three generations - are gracious and kind. The food is homey, tasty, and big. I took away a significant portion in a to-go box - and enjoyed it the next day (mine was a cheeseburger and fries). For travelers to the Ten Killer area - absolutely yes, go here. For residents in surrounding areas, also a yes, give it a try. After finding it the first time, you will go back every once in a while. Parking is understandably dirt/rocks - the outside is a bit rustic. Inside is clean and welcoming.

Cute family owned restaurant. Each order is cooked individually so there is a bit of a wait but it is well worth it.
