Ted's Café Escondido

Our party of 4 only waited a few minutes even though the restaurant was extremely busy. Our waiter Brandon was very proficient. After he took our orders he came by frequently to see if we needed anything. He kept us posted on when our food would be served. He was very polite and provided excellent service. Thank you Brandon for your positive attitude and attentiveness. It made our lunch a very good experience.

My two diners were prepared exactly how I wanted them to be. The meals were very good. The hot flour tortillas were excellent!

We eat probably 5 out of 7 days a week at Ted’s in Del City. It is like home! All of the staff are exceptionally nice, and Pedro (mgr) makes sure we get everything we want, especially salsa specially made for us ( without jalapeño). The food is delicious. It makes us sad when one of the staff leaves, but new ones are trained well. WE LOVE TED’S ♥️

I am very disappointed with our experience at this location.

My family and I went there for breakfast. Our server was very kind and attentive she brought our drinks, took our order, checked on us consistently, and continued bringing extra cheese, salsa, chips, and tortillas.

While we were waiting for our food, one of my children accidentally spilled a drink, which went all over the table and the floor. One of the employees responsible for cleaning tables came over, placed a “wet floor” sign, and then walked away. She stood in the walkway talking with other employees, including someone who appeared to be the manager, while we were left sitting at a dirty table.

Our server was clearly busy with another table, but as soon as she was able, she came back and cleaned the spill herself. This was especially concerning because there were at least three other employees assigned to cleaning tables and assisting with food, as well as a manager present, yet no one stepped in to help.

I work in customer service and I am very familiar with how restaurants operate. I have never seen a server who is responsible for delivering food also be expected to get down on the floor and clean spills with rags. This raises serious concerns about cross-contamination and food safety.

Cleanliness and guest safety should be a priority at all times, especially when children are involved. The lack of urgency, teamwork, and leadership in this situation was very noticeable. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that staff are better trained to stay attentive to cleanliness and proper procedures.

We had an excellent experience! The food was fantastic and our server, Brandon, was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Ted’s has earned a repeat customer. Be sure to ask for Brandon!

The food was just as amazing as I remember, if not, spectacular. I highly recommend asking for Jose if you want exceptional service. I don't think there is another place in town that compares to Ted's at all. I am one for a greatly prepared quesadilla (call me basic) but not everyone makes them the same. The Ted's Favorite Dilla was super tasty and me and my fiance shared the taco salad. I love seeing my people and this place is where you SHOULD go to feel included.

You may think as you walk up to the restaurant and see all the people waiting that you might wait a long time but that’s not all true! I love seeing the tortilla station and how tortillas are made. It takes away the wait time and also the bar is not ever crowded. The manager comes up to us and greeted us very happily. We had small talk then our table is ready just like that. The manager there is name Jose. I thank him and his front house team for giving us a warm welcome even during busy hours. You truly made us a regular at Ted’s!

New Years Eve. Just had a wedding, and I bought dinner for the party. There were 11 of us.
The food was very tasty a usual, served fairly promptly, considering the situation, and the bill was far less than I expected.
