Always a worthwhile experience. Amazing food. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff.

What started out as work-related research turned into a very special, relaxing, and rewarding evening at The Living Kitchen near Stroud, Oklahoma. If you ever get the opportunity to make the trip, I highly recommend it. The atmosphere was peaceful, the dinner conversation was wonderful, and the food was outstanding. What made the experience even more meaningful was hearing the chef come out and share the story behind each dish — where the recipes came from, what inspired them, and what they meant personally. It made you appreciate every bite even more. Mike and I don’t often slow down enough to do things like this, especially during the work week and especially when we’re in Oklahoma. Usually, if we’re going to truly rest, we feel like we have to leave the state to do it. But this evening was genuinely restful, refreshing, and inspiring. We met some wonderful people, enjoyed meaningful conversation, and left feeling very grateful for the experience. And as a bonus — I got my “work research” done too.

This is a wonderful experience that I think most people would really enjoy! The atmosphere is quaint and cozy and the staff is very kind and excited to share this experience with all the guests. The food was delicious and even though I'm a rather picky eater I enjoyed everything they offered throughout the meal. There was a live acapella group singing Christmas carols in the dinning hall which was a great addition to the experience.

This is by no means meant as a critique but I would dress warm if you are coming for their winter meal. The dining area is a screened in porch (they added plastic sheets to block the winter wind) and even with the space heaters I found myself rather chilly by the end of the dinner.

Overall, its an amazing experience with delicious food and is definitely worth trying!

An exceptional experience from start to finish. Phenomenal food in a beautiful setting. The holiday dinner is a must if you can get a seat.

It's overpriced. It's not a steak dinner and still cost a lot more.

An absolute gem - the people, the food, and the environment all created a one-of-a-kind evening everyone should experience

Living kitchen is a wonderful experience! There are many courses. Some better than others. We thought two of courses were excellent and the rest were good. There could definitely been more flavor. I would have loved a southwest spin or southern spin on some of the dishes. The beef dish was flavorless and tough. Short ribs should melt in your mouth. For example, some creamy polenta grits or pepper corn bread would have given the meal the extra boost it needed. It just needed some richness and depth of flavor.

A drive, $150 dinner of so so food. It was a a tomato dinner yes, I’ve never had eggplant that was like shoe leather w/tomatoes on top. The last 3 courses were very disappointing. Lamb okay, brisket slice half fat & tough—dessert was such a weird combo that not dessert at all—it was like a kid made up the combo! My first experience not good & maybe my last.

An exceptional and uniquely Oklahoma experience every time!

Seem like nice people but you need to know a few things. The dinner is 3 hours long!!! Way, way too long in my book. Was supposed to start at 7 but no food til 7:30. We went in July, BIG mistake, as there is no air conditioning and you eat in an exterior covered and screened in patio. Despite a few fans, limited airflow so was stuffy and hot. Food is fine and the farm to table aspect is nice but overall was a really, really disappointing experience. I would not spend 2 hours driving for this, the juice is not worth the squeeze IMO.

It took 6 years for the stars to align and finally get reservations and it was the NW Passage dinner! The food was fantastic ? The service was amazing. Dessert was a dandelion ice cream. Amazing! The hosts are so passionate about food. I loved hearing about the food and her stories that accompany each dish. I am enthralled by the whole experience and will be booking many more dinners to come. It's a 40 minute drive from my house and quickest route is all back roads through the heart of Oklahoma. Driving with the windows down alongside my husband in his truck to and from a beautiful dinner experience is the perfect date night
