The food is simply top notch. Made from scratch French Onion Soup. Great Wedge Salad with big blue cheese crumbles and fresh bacon. The steak was a hand cut 8 ounce filet and served with garlic mashed potatoes and french onions.
The chef made and prepared carrot cake and creme brulee rounded out our superb dinner.

I’ve ate at fine steakhouses all around the nation. From Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Arizona and DC. This steakhouse at Kiowa is on that level for a supreme dinner with excellent service.

Maggie, our server, was very attentive and showed great attention to detail.

Chuck, the head chef who has been there since 2019 came to the table himself when I had a small problem with my steak. He personally prepared me a new one and ensured I was satisfied. He takes great pride in the food his kitchen prepares.

I would like to add one detail. I don’t gamble. Ever. And I don’t get my meals comped. I pay full price for my meals and am happy to do so since the quality is supreme. My wife and daughter and I eat here a few times a month and are always treated with the same great quality food and service each time.

In Wichita Falls we have limited fine dining options. Pelican’s, the Country Club, Fox Hill and Morningstar Steakhouse at Kiowa Casino. These are my favorite places and the one I frequent the most is Morningstar.

Excellent Super Great Service like always, but the Crab Cakes this time were not good. Everything else was EXCELLENT. Will return like always.

We always have delicious food at the Kiowa Cadino Morning Star Steakhouse along with exceptional service. We will continue to go back!

Sapphire was our waitress and she was really great! We'd never been before so we were disappointed to find they were out of lobster, which is what we were looking forward to. However, they did have crab cakes and she shared they'd recently started making them fresh in house. They were really good, not too much breading and you get 3 patties in appetizer! Ambience and decor is pretty blah! Guess we expected more. All that being said, we're willing to go back and give it another try!!!

We have for a while now enjoyed the steaks at Morning Star and the salad and baked potatoes make it a completely satisfying meal. The main problem is having room for the delicious deserts.

Great place to eat. Food is always good, waitress are friendly, greeters are pleasant. Chicken fried chicken is excellent, filet is always the awesome. Sides are fresh. My husband loves the prime rib. Restaurant has great ambiance and it's not loud!! Great to talk and enjoy a great meal. I would and do recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

I ordered Prime Rib (Medium) and I could not cut it much less chew it. It was $48.00 I should have sent it back, but instead - I just had no dinner

We had one of the worst experiences here tonight. It was just my buddy and I at our table and a man and woman at another table several tables away. It took the one waitress on duty almost 20 minutes to finally come to our table and ask us what our drinks were, apologizing for the long wait due to some sort of mix up. While we were waiting, we observed her at the other table quite a bit, being really friendly with that couple at the other table. After getting our drinks, the waitress, some girl with long red hair and a nose ring, (I honestly can't remember if she gave me her name or not.) took our order. I ordered the new york strip med-rare. (a $52 steak) After not writing down our orders, she gives them to the people in the back then gets friendly with that couple at the other table again. After some time, we got our dinner, and she took off again back to the other table where she stood there with her back to us talking with them. I cut into my steak to find that it was over cooked. It was well done. I couldn't tell the waitress about the steak without either raising my voice to yell at her across the dining room to get her attention, or walking over there to the other table to get her attention. No one else was in sight. That waitress stood there at that other table chit chatting for so long, I just gave up, ate the over-priced and over-cooked steak, then sat there and waited until she decided to grace us with her presence again. My buddy ran out of water to drink half way through his meal and never got a refill. The waitress didn't come back until we were done. My buddy used some points to knock about $23ish off the bill, we don't know for sure how much it all cost. When she came back, she gave up the check book and verbally told us it would cost $67 and some change. We opened the check book to find it was empty. NO RECEIPT, no way to verify what we were paying for! We couldn't even tell her about the receipt because she was already back at the other table chatting with them! At this point, we were so pissed off about how we were being neglected that we just put $70 on the table and walked out. We got there around 6:45 pm on Tuesday, Aug 12 2025. IF we go back to Morning Star, we will be dang sure to avoid getting that waitress again if we see her. I usually have great things to say about the restaurant, but that waitress was so bad that I felt I had to come write this review. If the place was really busy, I wouldn't be typing this. But the fact that we were the only people in there other than her friends at the other table, really made me mad.

Saffire is a excellent waitress, the food was really good. Baked potatoes was Luke warm, it could have been hotter. Otherwise good.

Tina

Meat quality on the steak was poor. It was hard to chew and I wouldn't get it again. The spinach was salty as can be too. Other meals at our table they weren't satisfied either.

My Husband took me here for Our Anniversary, and we had an awesome time. Food was great, and so was the Service. Thank you for helping us Make A Memory.
