“My husband and I had such a wonderful experience at Chickenella’s on Grand Lake! The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and relaxing — a perfect place to enjoy breakfast together. We ordered the avocado toast and the kitchen sink with a side biscuit and gravy, and every bite was fresh, delicious, and just the right amount of food without feeling heavy.

The coffee was amazing and truly stood out. A little insider tip: don’t forget to flip the menu — that’s where you’ll find their freshly made lattes, espresso, and chai, which are absolutely worth trying.

Chickenella’s is a spot we’ll definitely return to. Great food, great coffee, and a cozy vibe that made our morning memorable.“

“5/3/ 2025 The Artichoke is a beloved, cozy restaurant in a cottage near Grand Lake. It has changed owners, yet the food and atmosphere seem to have remained the same. I've eaten there 3 or 4 times and always enjoyed it. The cocktails and wine selections are nice also. I think I've always had a crab cake but this time got the special of the day, lobster thermidor. Beautiful presentation and tasty. It was especially good with the lemon squeezed over the top (needed the lemon!). Crispy Brussels on point, complimentary bread had roasted garlic and herbs and was so good dipped in the steak soup. The menu says it's the same recipe as Plaza III from Kansas City. The side salads are generous and fresh, with homemade salad dressings. My friends got the rib eye and enjoyed it. There's also a surprise and delight factor. When you sit down there's a complimentary plate with spinach artichoke dip and crustini. And a rose for the ladies . Reservations highly recommended especially during Lake season!“

“AWESOME food, Great service 👍 a little loud, only because of how the building is when it's busy and it's always busy 😀 with the talking it can be a little overwhelming. Not the staffs fault by any means. So If you have sensory issues with noise, I would Suggest getting carry out. The staff are lovely people and very helpful and their breakfast is amazing.“

“Enjoyed every bit of this place! Quesadillas were amazing, beers cold and atmosphere great! I’ve also had the catfish, good and big portions!! Love they are down the road! This will be a fun place to be at this summer! They have live music and great a variety of food on the menu!“
