Came in here as it’s close to the hotel, figured it would be convenient. It was everything but, took over 20 minutes to be acknowledged AT THE BAR. Got a Corona and ended up waiting another 30 minutes for the bartender to come back. I just asked for the check. Employees just cycle out sitting at a table by the bar, pretty dissapointing.

They didn’t come and check on us. It took them forever to give us our food. Their floor is really sticky and they need to mop it. And they need to clean the dishes.

Food was ok, especially the burger my grandson ordered. Our server was basically MIA through most of our nearly 2 hour visit, as he was verrrrrey slow. And it wasn't that busy, there were more empty tables and booths than occupied. Thank goodness we were in good moods and not pressed for time.

I do not know why this restaurant cannot get its act together. Every time I go, I am beyond disappointed and I think maybe next time will be better, but it’s not. I was there with my family two nights ago. Granted, it was a Friday night and it was busy. We were greeted by the hostess immediately and told she would clear a table for us and be back with us shortly. We waited for over 30 minutes and there was nobody out on the floor. There were no servers, no hostess, no people busing the empty tables. Finally, someone came out and said that the kitchen was backed up severely and that they wouldn’t be seating any people for a while and she would come back and let us know how long the wait would be. Again, we waited about another 20 minutes. She never came back to tell us how long the wait would be. Finally a different person came out and asked how many was in our party and took us to a table and made us stand there and wait while the table was being cleaned off. Cleaned off is a generous description. The table was wet, still had food on it, the chairs had food on them, which to me was a little beyond disgusting. Our poor server was doing all he could to try to stay on top of things. We waited quite some time for our food to arrive. All this time people were leaving and more people were coming in and having to wait for a table. There were probably at least 5 to 6 tables that were empty, but had not been cleaned and nobody was cleaning them up, and nobody was getting seated. The food was OK, I wouldn’t say great. I don’t know if this is a staffing issue, a management issue or both, but it is sad that this restaurant is always in such disorder. Duncan deserves better than this. Whomever is in charge farther up the food chain needs to do something about this disgraceful business.

If I could give a negative star I would. We arrived, got seated, and was told by the hostess that our server would be right with us. Also to add, the place was not busy at all, maybe 4 tables had people. Anyway, we were told that and the hostess came back and got our drink order and appetizer, she then said the waitress would be right with us to take our order, we waited for 30 minutes or more and no one came by, checked on us, took our order or anything. So we flagged down the hostess, paid for our appetizers and drinks and the waitress ran my card and gave it to another employee to bring it to our table instead of herself bringing it. Not good business, not in the slightest. Couldn't even stop by to say anything or even acknowledge us. The hostess was fantastic though. Terrible service.

I spent a LOT of years in the restaurant business. I have no idea how this restaurant continues to keep its doors open from a health code perspective alone. It shocks me to think that a health inspector can pass this place year after year. The front of the house is bad enough with the condition of just the floor being such that your feet actually stick to it as you walk across it, but I've also been in the kitchen...it's... filthy (and that's being kind). I've told my kids more than once, if your friends want to go there... fine, just don't eat anything.
That said, the staff I've met are nice enough...I just don't think that they are receiving the training and/or able to hire wait and cook staff that cares about anything more than a paycheck. It is blatantly obvious from the years of mismanagement and uncaring employees that this what could be a nice restaurant is in the shape it is in. It's sad, really... but a stark reminder of what is not being taught at home and carried to the workplace.

So the wife and I went to lunch on December 30,2024 and we arrived around 12:45 pm or so. So we ordered the 2 for $25 which comes with the appetizer, and two dinners. So we order, Mozzarella Sticks, the wife ordered Bourbon Chicken, and I ordered Ribs. It takes until around 1:35pm to get our appetizer, (there are only about eight different tables in the whole restaurant) so the place was really empty, then the waitress comes over at around 1:45 to inform us and I quote: "We have looked all through the Freezer and we aint got no ribs, so you need to ordered something else, do you want a menu?" I tell her to just bring me the same thing my wife ordered, so she says okay and leaves, our food finally gets to our table around 2:15pm and when she brought out our Tab asked her: Why is it over $47, if we ordered 2 for $25 and our drinks are $2.99 each? She said that she will check and she took my card and charged me still over $40 for the entire meal. So I don't know how you all are trying to run a business in this day and age, but SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE!!! Cause I did the math and the very most we should have been charged is $25 for the meal, $2.99 each for the drinks x2 =$30.98 + $3.57 Tax = $34.55 NOT $44 or $47. You all might want to go back to school, and learn some math, This WILL BE THE VERY LAST TIME THAT WE STEP INTO YOUR RESTAURANT, due to the VERY SLOW WORK ETHIC and no care for your customers. I did fill out your survey, trust me I hope cooperate hears all about this store in particular, because the last time we were there the managers were screaming out in the seating area, and as I can see, that NOBODY HAS ACTUALLY DONE ANYTHING TO STRAIGHTEN THIS RESTAURANT OUT OVERALL.

We were seated by a very nice lady. She said our waiter would be here shortly. It took 30 min to get food ordered and another 45 to get the cold food. Poor service and will never go back.

Went in after church Sunday had some of the best service there in years! Our servers name was Shelly, super attentive and on top of our drinks our food took a little while but she continued to check on us while we waited! Will be back hopefully she is working! Will be requesting her from now on.

We waited 30 minutes for our water and tea. They finally took our order a few minutes later. Got our appetizers 45 minutes later and the meal came 30 minutes later. We had to ask for silverware and refills. The food was really good, but the appetizers were cold. A lot more training is needed. I still enjoyed my 60th birthday dinner.
