The potato was awful (small). I asked for chives on the side. The lady at the register said she would sell me the potato with the bacon and chives and tell the kitchen to leave off the bacon. I told her never mind. Because that one is more. Just give me the potato with sour cream, butter and cheese. She got an additude about it and. I ordered before my co-worker that was with me. There was another customer that ordered after my co-worker too. They both received their orders before I did. Then I waited about an additional five minutes before she called my name. The potato was very small and cold too.

Before walking up to the counter, stop in the middle and there is the menu to your right. Fairly good amount of options. I wanted to try the chicken fried steak but they were out. I opted for a cheeseburger and fries. Delicious. Seems to be a place many locals visit. Price is reasonable. Give it a go if you're in the area!

This place has been rock solid all my life. I've eaten at johnnys regularly for years. It's never disappointed. Best lunch spot Duncan had left. Used to rotate between johnnys, the grill, and phipps BBQ when I worked in town. We went tonight for dinner and it was great as usual.
First time, unfamiliar with the format. There needs to be signage stating to check out the menu as you go to order at the counter. I stood there, deer in the headlights wondering, do I wait to be seated, seat myself, or what? But I figured it out and it was worthwhile. I forgo my usual Reuban for a chicken salad sandwich. It was jam-packed into a flaky croissant. It was divine. And large enough to have half now and half for dinner later.
All of the food was excellent! The sandwiches were very large and filling and the staff was very friendly! Hadn't been there in years but glad I went back!
