Visited here while out of town for work. My husband came up so we tried this place. The queso was pretty good, the salsa was really good. Those were the two things that saved the meal. We were seated in an area that was really dark and we had to use our flashlights on our phones to read the menu. I ordered the birria tacos, they were very chewy, maybe an off night? My husband ordered the steak street tacos when I asked him how they were, he said "meh." Over $70 for good salsa and decent queso was a bit much.

Super typical Mexican spot. Average chips and salsa. Weak margs. Didn't disappoint. But hardly hit the spot. Also, odd observation, but it was weird for a Mexican restaurant to be like blindly bright inside.

I'm not sure what's going on but something has changed with the food. The burrito dish I ordered had no flavor at all. The staff was great and it was super clean. Just the food is not flavored lately

Today was my wife and I first time eating at Alfredo's Mexican Cafe the food was well priced and tasted well; however the server was very slow which took away from the experience for us a little bit..
Staff very friendly and attentive. Food was ok, but ordered tortilla soup. Everyone else had great meals but prices have really gone up. $18.99 for 2 shrimp tacos? All diners come with free tortilla and some "cheese dip?" And a sopapilla. That was a nice surprise considering the higher prices.

Service was fine but the food was very bland. This is Mexican themed American food closer to Taco Bell than Mexican. Chips and salsa were all right but queso tasted watery from a can. Rice was dry. Worst carnitas I've ever had. Does not hold a candle to any ole Tex Mex joint further south. And nothing compared to the Mexican food available in Texas. Just tasted like salt onion and grease. My cooking is nothing special but I can make better Mexican food at home. I hate to go to a restaurant and pay for food cooked by pros and it's not even good. I would've left and returned the food but I'm traveling and I was starving. They need to rethink this whole menu and find better quality suppliers.

Waited outside for 23 minutes after they said they would bring my order out. I had to call back in and wait longer. The restaurant had no one dining so they weren’t busy. It the first time this location has failed in every department. Cold food. Terrible service.
