I’m an old time customer of Around the Corner. The days of excellent service are over, it seems. My wife and I went there for lunch. We arrived at 1:00 pm and sat down at a table. It took a while, but a waitress did greet us and gave us coffee. Then she left for the longest time without returning to take our order. I finally waved at her across the room. She still didn’t come. So I flagged down another waitress and she took our order. Finally the first waitress came by and pulled out her pad and said, “What’ll it be?” I told her I thought she had lost interest in us, and so I had gotten another waitress to take our order. She said, “That’s fine,” and walked off. Our order finally arrived after another long wait, at almost closing time. I’m not talking about a normal delay; it was a ridiculously LONG TIME. I guarantee that Charlotte, back in the day, would never have allowed her employees to be so sloppy and uncaring in their treatment of customers.

Nice little breakfast and lunch place. Has a good variety of menu items and serves breakfast all day.

This is mine and my wife's regular spot. The breakfast portions are always perfect and the wait staff are kind no matter if a regular or brand new. The seating and dining space is huge and has a nice flow of traffic, I've never had to wait around for a table to free up and the place is filled with friendly locals. There are 2 entrances, one on foot entrance at the front then another round back with a huge parking space. Highly recommend

I went there with 7 people. Waited 30 minutes after ordering for our food. When the waitress informed me she messed up and didn’t put my wife’s or my order in. She did not ask the kitchen to expedite the order so we waited another 25 minutes and our food was still not ready. I cancelled our food at which point they decided to expedite our meal and they didn’t even get my food right. Will not ever go back.

No surcharge on credit cards! Shockingly reasonable prices. Nostalgic ambiance. Large menu.

I love the atmosphere of this place. I love the place itself, but I’ve went here twice. Hoping for a better result. The food is good, but it’s never enough food.

The young staff are really short and disrespectful to their elders and regulars. As a joke. It's an attitude they carry and everyone has to tolerate.

Old school diner. Very crowded on this rainy Saturday. Service was great and the food delicious. Can’t wait to come back.

We stopped in during the Edmond arts festival and they were busy, but our food was wonderful and our waitress did a good job. I had the blueberry pancakes which were so good!! I can't wait to go back. A+

We went here thinking this was our diner, thinking this would be our new spot, everything looks great the interior, the exterior, the whole theme was very cute, it was 1950’s ish themed, we went in we got seated (free seating) me and my daughter chose where to sit, i chose a deluxe cheese burger and she got a chef salad with a chocolate malt.. we waited 6ish minutes for the chocolate malt the first thing my daughter does is pull out a long blonde hair from her malt.. we ask our server she gets it remade.. great happy, just a. Hair I can get over that..50 minutes later we get our food, the fries were soggy they forgot condiments her salad was brown and disgusting. It looked like it sat for 20 min before being served to us. Everyone’s food looked great and they got served in under 10 minutes even a group Of 7 people got served way before us.. it was not even busy. Only 5 group’s maximum..! The only thing good was the interior We went over to the mule it was fantastic, fast drinks, fast entree, fast appetizers. Everything was delicious!! And great customer service even when horribly packed would recommend the mule!!

Went today to eat for late lunch today and the number of customers was about 25. I ordered a Taco Salad and my husband Chicken strips. It took over 40.minutes to get. My Taco Salad set under the heat lamp for around 15 minutes of the wait as I had a view of the food prep area
When the Taco salad was actually delivered to the table the meat was cold and I sent it back. Never mind my husband's meal was hot. I shared his and and asked for a side of Ranch dressing and was told that would be extra. How rude of the server or the restaurant that my food was crap and I refused it and they have the nerve to charge me for dressing. This place has better service on a Monday with a full house of customers.

Service was awesome and the food was killer. Definitely try the jalapeño cheddar waffle 🤤 All the trinkets scattered about add so much to the place. Worth a stop for sure!

Normally, the service.is quick but it took over an hour to get our breakfast this morning. Others complained as well...I hope it's not a trend.

This is an old-fashioned diner on Broadway in the historic downtown of Edmond that has been around since 1951. The walls are covered with an eclectic awry of history, local sports paraphernalia and other interest bits and there are quite a few tables inside. Menu features a all day breakfast and lunch dishes, typical of diners in this part of the country. Recently had breakfast at Around the Corner. Short stack of pancakes with maple syrup and plenty of butter tasted perfect along with a side of bacon. Coffee served on the day was fine as well. Wait service, very friendly. My order came out in a timely manner and prices were reasonable. Overall, this was a good, typical diner experience and a good light breakfast, one I'd be happy to repeat when visiting Edmond again.
