I was very excited to try this place after all the hype online. Unfortunately, the desserts were terrible. We had Japanese cheesecake that was probably better before they froze and defrosted it. We had a Dubai chocolate strawberry cup that definitely would have been better if the strawberries were fresh. The Dubai chocolate bar was ok, but not particularly good. The secret to their great reputation seems to be the discount they offer for posting a positive review.

On a good note, the staff were polite and efficient even when it got crowded. If only the desserts were as good as the staff. :(

My husband and I found this bakery on Google and tried it for the first time tonight. It was amazing! He got the Japanese cheesecake and I got the Lavender Blueberry Lemon cake. Both were light and not too heavy or sweet. Mine even had fresh blueberries in it! We spoke to one of the owners, Katie, and discussed our love of desserts as well the love and care she and her partners put into everything they make. She let us try their new Dubai chocolate cookie with pistachios which was a delicious explosion of flavor in your mouth. The mango coconut pandan was all natural with no green food coloring and was very light and fluffy. I loved that it wasn't too rich or heavy like a lot of American desserts. If you want to support a local small business/bakery then go here!! Highly recommend this bakery, their kindness and customer service let alone the delicious baked goods!

The creme brulee and cheesecake are very tasty , front desk girl is very nice, but two things that need to be better-
- first off this place needs a proper shine and polish, the windows definitely need cleaning and the lighting is very dull

- the Japanese cheesecake is very very expensive, it’s a palm size cake that’s $10 dollars and the creme brulee is also expensive for $5 ; it’s a simple heavy cream and eggs dish that can be cheaper

This was my first visit in, and we wanted to try an assortment of menu items so that I could review as much as I could in one take.

For starters: we loved everything we had, simply put i highly recommend this place, but there is a caveat. The owner, who also runs the store, bakery, is having some pretty serious health issues, and while this is her dream business, she isn't always able to have regular business hours. We spoke to her at length, and the situation is quite unfortunate as we were absolutely blown away by the baked goods and boba drinks!
I know that in today's market, having a business with unsteady hours can be difficult, but i would implore people to do anything they can to try to cake it by DaDa!

Onto the reviewed items:
For starters, we got two Boba drinks. We got a taro cream tea with strawberry bursters and a mango with real mango fruit. Both teas were amazing. They don't have that powdery texture some other places have, and the busters didn't leave a film in your mouth. The mangos were soft and delicious! This is our favorite boba teas in all of edmond!
Next week, I had the strawberry Dubai cup, and my wife devoured the entire cup! While I felt the price was a little high, my wife argued that it was worth every penny. Strawberries were fresh, and she couldn't stop. We also got a creme Brule with caramelized topper, which was a delicious dessert that hit the spot for me. While most occasions I prefer the warm top, I didn't mind the premaid setup for ease to go.
We also had two cake desserts. The first was their most popular lavender blueberry cake, and it was so delicious. We shared between the three of us, and the continuous mmmms and ahhhhs with every bite got me understanding why so many enjoy this one. The second was an angel food style, strawberry, and kiwi, which was very soft, moist, and delicious. We noticed both frosting while sweet were very mild. They both were light and fluffy, allowing the customer to eat comfortably.
Cake it by DaDa also does special occasion cake designs. I included some photos of cakes they had actually made and was quite impressed with the artistry. They can do everything from custom wedding cakes, celebrations, breakable cakes, tier cakes, and elaborate custom works. Entry prices are very affordable, starting at around 25.00 and up depending on complexity, size, etc. of the cake.

Overall I would highly recommend giving Cake it by DaDa a chance to earn your business and treat yourself to a Boba tea and dessert!

This place was an absolute die for! The staff was so sweet, especially the lady at the counter (she was the owner i believe). The atmosphere was cozy and comforting, despite coming in so late.

As for the boba, i had ordered the cononut milk tea with passion fruit popping boba and the drink was so refreshing. The popping boba didnt leave any film behind, and the coconut blend was perfect and had coconut shavings which I loved! (If you dont like conconut, they had much more of assortment to choose from!) My dad got to try the Taro cream milk tea with his strawberry popping boba (which is his usual from any place) and he loved it!

Aside from drinks, the pastries were soooo good too! I had a fruit sando (Milk cake, with cream filling and fruit) which was so fresh and the ingredients were fresh and made in house! As for their créme brulee, and dubai chocolate strawberry mix, both were delicious too. (My parents got those.) We also got to try the popular Lemon lavender cake and it was a highlight of the cakes. It was light, and had the perfect balance of lemon, lavander, and cake.

I will definitely be coming back, because this place was amazing and good! Definitely give this place a look!!

This place never goes by the hours they have posted. We have went 3 different times and they are NEVER OPEN WHEN THEY SAY THEY ARE OPEN. So make sure you call before you go because you will be screwed. Google said 6:30 we were there at 6. And guess what open sign on and door locked. We will not be going back. This is absolutely ridiculous.

We stopped by Cake It by Da Da 🍰 after hearing about their unique Japanese-inspired desserts, and it was definitely a fun little experience!

We tried:
🍓 Fruit Sandwich – Just like it sounds! Sweet bread filled with fresh strawberry, kiwi, and whipped cream. It’s light, fresh, and simple—definitely something you don’t see every day.

🖤 Black Sesame Chantilly – This one was super smooth and had a rich, creamy texture. Flavor-wise, it threw me off a bit—it’s bold and earthy, so if you like black sesame, this might be your vibe.

🍮 Japanese Cheesecake – Soft, jiggly, and mildly sweet. Tasted very similar to the sweet bread + whipped cream combo from the fruit sandwich. Not super flavorful, but nice and airy.

The shop itself is small and tucked away—kind of a hole-in-the-wall spot. The vibes are cute but a little unorganized. The floor could use some love 🧽, but overall it’s a decent place to pop in and try something new!

If you’re curious about Japanese desserts and want to try something different from the usual, this place is worth a visit! 🌸🍡
