Driving along Broadway in Edmond, I stumbled upon a new Indian restaurant called Desi Corners, located at 1012 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034. The building, a converted Wendy’s, immediately caught my eye, so I decided to check it out. The parking lot was bustling, and inside, I noticed the diners were predominantly Indian—many appeared to be students. That’s always a good sign when searching for authentic cuisine!
Curious to try it myself, I ordered a Southern Indian meal: chicken curry and chapati. While I typically avoid rice for its carb content, I indulged in two chapatis, which were fresh, soft, and a perfect complement to the curry. The flavors were spot on, and I’d rate the experience a solid 7 out of 10—great, but no restaurant can quite match the magic of my mom’s cooking!
What stood out most was the cultural connection I felt while dining. Watching Indian students eat with their hands—a traditional practice in India—brought back memories of my childhood and teenage years there. It reminded me of the deep connection food has to our roots and how it can transport us to another time and place.
Having lived in America for over 40 years, I’ve adapted to many aspects of American dining, but there are moments when I crave the spices and flavors of Indian food. Desi Corners delivered on those cravings while also sparking nostalgia.

Oh my goodness!!! So delicious! We just moved to Edmond and have been on the hunt for decent Indian food. Desi knocked it out of the park!! We are vegan and had plenty of yummy food to pick from. Masala Dosa (with the pancake) was amazing. The channa masala is the best I’ve had! Tip: take some of the pancake and fill it with channa masala! So delish!!!

We travelled from Dallas to Oklahoma for The first time .we tried vijawada bone less chicken biryani ,Guntur chicken, mutton kheema biryani, paneer 65 and onion kulcha here which was too good and the service was excellent. I really want to visit the restaurant again

This place is absolutely amazing! The food is bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was a delight, with fresh ingredients and unique, memorable flavors. But what truly sets this restaurant apart is the incredible service. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and attended to every detail with such warmth and professionalism. They genuinely care about their guests' experience, and it shows. Can’t recommend this place highly enough – it’s a must-visit! We’ll definitely be back!

Wow! Visiting from out of town but this will be an absolute must stop, every time we return! We had onion Samosas, Vegetable Samosas, garlic naan, chicken biriyani, and the tandoori chicken!
My wife and I came in for some curry as a cold set in and my curry banished my congestion and cleared out my sinuses, while also being excellent in general. It is a pleasure to see the worlds saddest Wendys repurposed as something as wonderful as this place. Come through and order a basket of garlic naan.
