I ordered the steak risotto, and it was absolutely delicious — one of the better dishes I’ve had recently. The bread and tallow appetizer was also fantastic and a great start to the meal. Unfortunately, early into my risotto I found a sharp piece of hard plastic about the size of my pinky nail, with a pointed end. I’m honestly thankful I didn’t swallow it.
I tried looking for my server to let him know, but he didn’t come by often. When I finally got his attention and showed him the plastic, he didn’t seem very concerned and didn’t offer to replace the dish or comp anything. I’m not someone who likes to ask for that kind of thing, but I did expect the situation to be taken more seriously.
The food itself was wonderful, but the way this issue was handled left me disappointed. I’m hoping it was just an off night, because the restaurant clearly has a lot of potential.

The best restaurant in Edmond hands down
This restaurant was the first quality restaurant my husband and I went to after moving to Edmond, OK from San Diego (we have high standards for food). My friend gave us a gift card for this place and probably would not have found it otherwise. It’s a small building that could be easy to miss, but the parking lot was PACKED when we got there. The servers were all dressed nicely and kindly led us to our seats. When they explained to us that ALL of their menu items were locally sourced and handcrafted by the husband and wife who owned the place, we knew we were about to have an incredible meal. The let us know that we were about to indulge in their summer menu, so we opted for the all potato appetizer. This was a beautiful dish with potatoes served in multiple different forms— a potato gnocchi, a potato waffle chip for crunch, and more. It was truly delicious and the presentation was stunning. My husband got a steak for the entree and I opted for the coq au vin. Overall, the service was friendly and they explained every dish to us, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was good. This is nothing against the Farmer’s Grain, but there was an annoying inappropriately dressed couple that sat next to us. Other than that, we will be coming back for their other seasonal menus! I appreciate the fact that it is a small building— the noise level is low and I was able to talk to my husband. Usually noise can be overstimulating for me.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at farmers grain. The cocktails were perfectly balanced. First course through our entrées were all amazing. We will definitely be back.
**Review for Farmers Grain Restaurant - Edmond, OK**
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Farmers Grain Restaurant in Edmond, OK, and I must say, the experience was fantastic! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with friendly staff that made us feel right at home.
For our main course, we had the **pork chops** and **brisket stroganoff**, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The pork chops were cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The seasoning was spot-on, and each bite was a true delight. If you love a hearty, well-prepared pork chop, this is the place to go.
The **brisket stroganoff** was equally impressive. The brisket was incredibly tender, and the rich, creamy stroganoff sauce was the perfect complement. It was comforting, filling, and absolutely mouthwatering. You could tell the dish was crafted with care and attention to detail.
Overall, the meal was outstanding, and I would highly recommend Farmers Grain to anyone in the area. It's the kind of place that combines excellent food with great service, and you can tell they take pride in what they do.

We have wanted to try this restaurant for the last year and finally made it! We had a babysitter and celebrating an anniversary. The cocktails and salmon appetizer was wonderful. I asked for us to share the peach salad with goat cheese and they split it on 2 plates (that they charged us $2 extra, a heads up would have been nice!) but it was a lot of arugula, and a small amount of a peach that you had to cut yourself, and about 1 tsp of goat cheese on each plate. We definitely felt $14 (actually spent $16) was overpriced for what we got. The dinners were amazing. I loved the salmon, the risotto was to die for, loved the peppers and cilantro, which added a nice contrast. My husband's steak was also good, but I didn't think it was as flavorful of a dish. We also asked for the peaches and cream dessert, which they did not split for us. Again overpriced. There was 1 peach cut in half with a little cream sauce and crumbled cookies; the cream was only on one side of this long dish which made it awkward for one of us to reach over half way across the table to partake of it. We were served it with 2 spoons which we assumed that meant the peaches were really tender but it was difficult to portion bite sizes with a spoon. So I requested forks and knives, which they brought 2 forks and 1 knife, apparently they didn't think we both needed a knife, so we each cut up our half of the peach into bite sized pieces; maybe the peaches are usually cooked more or the peach is more tender prior to cooking, not sure why a spoon would be recommended when you need to cut up a fruit that definitely is not tender enough for only a spoon. Also, I would have loved to try the bread plate but the price seemed very expensive, so we decided on salmon appetizer served on the bread. Overall the staff was really nice and generally informative, although not totally since we had the $2 surprise on the bill. We would like to try the restaurant again, but focus on the appetizer, meal and drinks (skip the dessert and salad).

Great atmosphere and menu.
The food, atmosphere, and service never disappoint me. The farm to table concept is executed perfectly at Farmers Grain. The menu changes seasonally so it’s a new experience every time I go. This is one of the best restaurants in OkC area for sure.
