Food selection is great. Service is great. Ambiance, on the other hand, is ... Oh my gosh! Can they please take care of that awful smell each and every time I come in to the store. It's usually fish. Which I can get over really quick. But this time it was an odor that followed you everywhere you walked. It was the lingering odor of someone having just thrown up. No matter what aisle, it was there. I couldn't. Impélete my grocery list because I had to leave or I would've been the next one losing my cookies. I used to love Homeland but I'm finding it impossible to shop here while I'm smelling those foul odors.

This store is very close to our house so I try to shop there. But the last few years they don't stock some national brands instead they have their brands which is sometimes fine but not always. Since I have to drive past homeland to go to Walmart neighbor I have to decide where to shop. Lately I go to Walmart neighbor so I can get what I want.

Their regular prices are likely highest in the area but not insane. This is easily offset by variety offered, almost always fully stocked, very clean, excellent customer service and 'old school' grocery store experience. I only buy my meat here. They either have what you need or will get it, and have items that are hard to find. Excellent deli, Pharmacists and employees are top notch and know you by name. Perfect neighborhood grocery store where you can get everything on your list, fresh food, great sale prices, and reasonable regular prices, while finding specialty items with superb service.

Our last trip here was a little unfortunate. Homeland is famous for having expired goods due to their policies of not tossing goods until they are very close to their exp date. This location always seemed better than the rest about checking that, but our last trip proved otherwise. We ended up with about $20 worth of moldy cheese and expired meat. I still like this location, but sucks it's now about part with the others.
