I am extremely dissapointed with my experience here. I went around 12:30 today (Tuesday, July 1) and stayed until about 1:30. The food was not very satisfying, so although it tasted good, I still found myself hungry. The food is being advertised as a meal, not just a snack. The staff was nice, however while shopping, I broke the lid of a product on accident. Of course, I made a point to apologize, however who I assume to be the manager failed to ensure my party and I were alright, clearly more concerned with ensuring we knew she could no longer sell the product and had to pay. I appreciate that we only had to pay for half instead of the full price, but I am upset with the way the situation was handled. I would come back, but only if it is suggested by another individual, as I don’t know if I would want to go on my own terms.
We just visited Inspirations Tea room and the gift store manager was extremely rude. She told us not to let my granddaughter touch the oil because it was infused with chili. My granddaughter was just standing there. She was not touching anything. Then, my daughter got down the carriage purse to look at it, she handed it to my granddaughter so she could show my niece and the gift store manager stop her and said she should not have that purse. Number one, my daughter was right there, number two she was holding it very carefully and number three, how did she know we were not going to buy the purse. I did address the issue with the manager, and told her she needed to apologize to my daughter and she refused. We have been coming to the tea room for years and this just puts a real sour taste in my mouth.
My daughter and I love this place. Huge variety of teas and excellent coffee and the cutest treats. They also sell aged balsamic vinegar and Italian olive oil. Makes a great a closing gift , pic added…)
Always so good! I love their lemon berry waffles and lattes!
Terrible service! I arrived with my father and my service dog! They sat us on the patio, but 20 minutes passed, and they never took our order or served us! I'll never return! Such a nice place, but such terrible service.
Oh, what I’ve been missing all these years! Such a beautifully laid out tea, oils and vinegars, and misc. gift shop with delicious breakfast and lunch. Tea, oil and vinegar tasting area. The girls that work here are all so friendly and professional—no attitudes, which is such a refreshing switch from most anywhere else—allow you to sit where you’d like with a smile, thank you’s for your business (in stead of just “you’re welcome, of course and no worries”. The food is very tasty and the presentation of it, pretty. The dining areas inside are quaint, as is the beautiful outside garden seating. I will return with family and friends. This is now my favorite place to eat and socialize in Edmond!
Had the best little tea party with my daughter and loved seeing all the other things they had to offer, like ;cook books, oils, vinegar, tea sets, kids books and so many other things. The experience was definitely something for a special day out but the food I would come regularly for!
Great environment, atmosphere and selection of teas, oils and vinegar.
Great experience. I will say they are very busy on Saturdays and parking can be hard to find.
I loved the food. Staff was very friendly. I wasn't crazy about the layout. You had to maneuver around people in line to order food or that were paying for mercandise to get your drinks if you didn't order their specialty teas.
Restaurantji Recommends
This was an awesome place to visit! They had gluten-free options on their menu and an amazing store - all very clean and well organized Would highly recommend to everyone!!!
It’s usually pretty busy, especially on a Saturday. We got there around 11am and the wait was 20-30 minutes. But it’s always worth it. My 6 year old and I love coming and the food is always delicious.
Edit: reply was kind, and I will try this place out for sure. But I don’t have social media…I teach high school English and I advocate daily for a diminishing of social media. I didn’t see on the website or google/Apple Maps where the hours were changed to reflect the reservations, so I’ll just have to take Allison’s word for it. Last thing, I worked in retail long enough to learn this- hire good people, in general, don’t just hire kids that need jobs or the owners’ niece to run the front desk…do the legwork, good help is out there.
Original post: This place looks so neat and fun. The Inn is definitely something in which I would like to partake.
However, when I showed up with my friends to try it out, I was informed “reservation only” which was disheartening but not surprising over break. The discouraging part was the way the lady (girl, really) at the front informed me, when I said it didn’t say anything about this online, well the banner out front says it. Ma’am, I don’t live around this store, when would I EVER see a banner. That would be like the airport saying, “well that sign out in front of the airport says, ‘no flights,’ when I wouldn’t BE AT THE AIRPORT unless I thought there were flights!!”
Don’t post regular business hours, post reservation only. Otherwise, people will make plans to come when you are “open!”
Rude.
But I will be back because it looks like a great concept of a place. I am all about second chances.
The parking was very VERY full, people are parking in NON-PARKING areas, walked in super early and already had a 30-40 minute wait time, there was hardly anywhere to walk and the people here are a little rude. Not sure what was in the air but man the customers loved to stare. Love the idea of this place, but it was not a pleasant experience at all for our first time here. Had both hopes for this place.
This little tea room was so cute! The things I found most delicious was the cheesecake square, the scone with the lemon curd was amazing! Their ranch for there salad was also delicious! I had the strawberry cream hot tea it was very good! Also they had a lemon cake with a blueberry dessert that was amazing! I loved the sandwiches the cucumber and the turkey one was the best! They also had a little gift shop and you could buy olive oil in different flavors and balsamic vinegar in different flavors! If you ever get a chance to stop by here I definitely would!
