Our favorite Mexican food in the area!! (And there are a lot of choices). Our kids love the fish plate and I always have to go with the chicken mole because its the closest to that in New Mexico I’ve had in the area! Such a gem of a restaurant

Hands down the best restaurant in Edmond. We have been eating here since they opened and have had amazing food every single time!

The space is decent and the service is friendly enough but the food itself is completely subpar. The chicken is always dry. Nothing is seasoned. The salsa is poor. This is Mexican food for white grandparents. far from authentic!

Authenticity can be a complex concept, but it often shines through when diverse influences blend together seamlessly. Los Matachines is a prime example of this, a mix of Latin America in USA, though its slightly hidden location might make it a bit challenging for passersby to find.

My friends and I dined there without any particular expectations, but the experience exceeded our lack of hopes. We requested a bit more spice for our salsa, and our server went above and beyond by remaking it with habaneros. The service was truly exceptional. With its genuine atmosphere and superb food, Los Matachines is a standout spot. I highly recommend it and hope it thrives

Me and my wife just stopped in here and wow 10/10. Food was amazing! We had a pastor burrito, sopes, and street tacos. the quality of everything was way better than other places. Good prices too! Staff were super nice and helpful. We will be repeat customers.

I’m back to tell you about our Father’s Day Bruch at Matachines. Pops had Menudo and I had Posole. Wow it’s that great. Hot and rich taste with all the veggies and tons of meat. I’m still sweating!! The chips ate served hot with a San Antonio style salsa. Just delicious. Please try this place out because it’s great.
