This restaurant is SO GOOD! The prices are reasonable, the food is very authentic and tastes great, and they have a great selection of margaritas too!

We got a really bad experience. We got there hungry and tired often work. All 3 of us order pozole but it was the worse no flavor just warm when it supposed to be hot and looks like they put green food color on it and not to mention Jamaica water was bad too it tested more like plain water. We were very disappointed. We told the waitress she just said ok. really!

My friend and I stopped in to visit with each other for a while. We ordered our drinks, received our chips and salsa, and then our nachos to share. The salsa was different from any that I had had before, but I liked it. I believe the peppers were smoked or fired roasted or something, but it had great taste. The margaritas were good too. The nachos were stacked, so more chips than topping, but still good. The guacamole was really good. I can say this honestly as I seldom like guacamole that someone else makes. The service was fantastic!!!We sat ate, visited, and drank our margaritas. We even ordered a second. The waitress was so good to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction and that we had everything we needed. To our surprise ? they closed at 7pm. It was already 7:30pm when we learned of this fact. They were so gracious to allow us our visit without ever announcing their closing or asking us to leave. For this kind of service, let alone the food, I would recommend this place all day long!!!Thank you for the wonderful evening ?

Food is great, fresh chips, awesome Salsa, and great entrees. Much different than the Tex-mex restaurants around, very good.

If you are from Southern CA and have been trying Mexican food around here... if you have been noticing that "queso" doesn't broadly mean cheese, but specifically this liquid Velveeta bullcrap... if you hate Tex-Mex food and recognize it's basically Mexican food made for white people who don't like flavor...Then try this place! You will LOVE it!Everything is made in house and is totally delicious. PLEASE SUPPORT THEM as I notice that there aren't that many people here when I dine in!

I am Peruvian and when looking for Mexican flavor, this place was the right one. I really liked the food, I recommend the mixed fajitas. And the pot coffee is unique!

OMG ya'll! So amazing! We just happened upon Matachines by chance, but I am so glad we did. We had the green enchilada plate, but with cheese instead of chicken and the fajita plate. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. They make the chips, so they were still warm when delivered to our table, and the salsa had just the right spice. My new favorite Mexican restaurant!! You should definitely check it out! ❤ ❤

I will not be back. There food has no taste. There supper high. It’s just not good. One can of pop for a $1.50 with no refills at all. You have to buy other can of pop. The Mexican bottle coca’cola is $4.00 and it’s little.

No lunch menu. Only Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been too that charges for Chips and salsa. The chips were over cooked. Chicken was dry and tacos were bland. Michelada was bland as well. I guess for $24 before tip for 1 person I expected more. Overall I wouldn’t go again. It showed rated high but it was empty.

Chips, salsa, and guacamole were pretty good. We ordered the carne asada. It did not taste like carne asada. It smelled and tasted horrible (like old meat). Did not finish our food. Also, they add an 18% gratuity to the ticket. Not returning.Parking: Location was good.

Everything was good until the check…. This will be the last time here. I should have tipped 0%. We only had 5 people but the minimum was 18% on the total amount… I can make better food than this place. No estoy tonto….
