We enjoyed our dinner! We sat at a table where they cooked the food in front of us---definitely enjoyable and entertaining. I had chicken hibachi and it was delicious. The fried rice was also tasty and the serving was abundant. Veggies were cooked just right. My husband had the steak and shrimp hibachi. The steak was a little tough but had a good flavor. We'll go back!

They Gave me the wrong order. I got a bag full of soups and salads. And they forgot my fried rice. When I tried to call, the number didn't work.... great.Other than that the lobster was delicious and the noodles were OK.

I’ve been going here for years. My daughter in particular loves it. All was well until recently. One chef is kind of ruining it for me. This weekend was the second time he’s cooked for us. The first time, he seemed to just be going through the motions and we thought maybe he was just having a bad day. This weekend he was just phoning in the cooking while actually being a little rude. It was obvious enough that he actually wouldn’t tell our table his name. I kind of don’t want to go back, because I’d rather go somewhere else than have this guy cook for my family again. I don’t know his name, but he has cherry blossoms tattooed up his left arm.

If you think you're getting an upscale hibachi experience like benihanas, don't eat here. My horrible dining experience started at the hostess podium. The host was at the bar chatting, looked over at me and continued talking without acknowledging me and my party. They finish up their conversation and finally take us to our table. The restaurant looked drab and dingy. My son insisted on staying( it was his birthday) so we stayed. The food was very lack lustered and mediocre for the price. The tempura (see picture) was extremely greasy and heavy. It looked like beer battered fish. Our server was not attentive and messed up our orders. In short, I absolutely regret eating here and will never return.
Our family has loved this place for years. It is the only hibachi place I know of that you can walk right in and be seated almost immediately. The shows vary a little from chef to chef and so does the food, but overall always a great

We had a fun time and the food was good, just maybe not quite as good as other hibachi restaurants we've tried. The restaurant itself was a little run down. I would not hesitate to go back, it just wouldn't be my first choice.

Our party had Lester tonight and he was the best hibachi cook I’ve had in awhile. He’s so funny, entertaining, and his cooking was exceptional. This was the best service and food I’ve had at Sumo. I’ll be coming back again and I’ll definitely ask for him!
