JD, the manager, greeted me with a smile. I was referred by a good friend of mine who raved about the moist brisket; it did not disappoint!!! JD was super cool and accommodating by giving me a free brisket sandwich on my next visit since it was my first time to dine at the establishment. Had to share my experience this second time around. The brisket is consistently fantastic as the first time. This will be my one time a week place for sure. Many BLESSINGS!!!

I’ve driven by this location several times and tonight I decided to try their food. I went through the drive-thru and the order taker was very friendly and polite. Had to wait a little longer than expected but again, the drive-thru person was friendly. I ordered the brisket bbq nachos and a baked potato. When I arrived at home and sat down to eat, I was disappointed in the nachos. Suppose to be bbq nachos but no bbq sauce was on the meat or in the bag. And then the meat to nacho proportions were bad. And the meat was cold. I’m disappointed. The baked potato was fine…..can’t really mess that up. First and last time customer.

The meats are wonderful. On the other hand, they have gone CRAZY with the garlic in the beans and BBQ sauces. Honestly, the size and amount of garlic is nuts.

Update 12/21/2024: my family has loved texlahoma for years, we get it at least once every 2 months or so when we make it to Edmond. But as of today my rating plumets from 5* to 1*. Stopped in and grabbed 1/2 pound each of the pulled pork, chopped brisket, turkey, and bacon burnt ends. My entire family was completely disappointed with everything. Dry dry dry and absolutely ZERO smoke flavor on the meat. Brisket taste like an overcooked pot roast and the bacon burnt ends are just pork belly burnt ends. Should not call it bacon if it's not cured before being smoked. I was still optimistic that the sauce could save it but man was I wrong. What in the world has happened to the sauce? It use to be extremely thin with a hint of vinegar, now it's 5x thicker and taste like vinegar with peppercorns. $45 wasted. It's a sad sad day that texlahoma will no longer be on our favorites list.
1/20/2025 update:
After being contacted by the manager after our last rough visit, we happened to be going through Edmond today and swung by the Waterloo location. I'm glad to say our last visit was just a one off as today's meats were way better. Still a little less smoke flavor than what we usually get but its raising my rating back up to 4/5 *. Also the sauce was back to its normal recipe.

So disappointed again! We went at 6:45 and they were already out of pork! They are constantly out of something! We used to love their food! This time the food was cold and not good! The bun on one of the sandwiches was badly burned! Ever since the 2nd street location opened, this one has gone downhill! Seeing all the one star reviews makes me believe they don’t care! Sadly, we won’t be back!
Food was cold and tasted terrible. Bologna was cold and outside was burned and turkey tasted weird, possibly cooked a couple days ago? I ate 3 bites and threw it out. My wife had the chopped brisket and it had way too much salt. Very disappointing. My son’s brisket was the same. $70 down the drain. Go somewhere else.

Only rated it a 4 for the food just because if you don’t go before a certain time you may not be able to get potato’s and that’s what I was mostly looking forward to, but otherwise the meat is amazing and you get as many refills on drinks that you want, and they let us sit there for a long time before we left.

We've dined here a few times over a the last couple years but I think our last experience will be truly the last. Service is lacking and the meat is consistently bland, old and dry. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.
