I went to get a treat for my mom who has been under the weather. I recently saw this place recommended in a local group. The inside is nice, the pastries were all very good to look at. But my jaw almost hit the floor when I saw their prices. $6 for a donut. A single donut. I asked the staff if there were any special ingredients, trying to figure out why it would be so expensive. This place is my twin daughter’s favorite breakfast spot. We try to get there right after it opens because of their warm croissants and just-made donuts are truly amazing.
Every Saturday morning, like clockwork, I find myself at the doorstep of Twisted Tree Bakery right as they open. My weekly pilgrimage is all about two things: their cinnamon rolls and the vanilla glazed donuts.
