The whole system needs a re-work. Fresh RTE foods need to be individually packaged for transportation. Instead of steam tables, there needs to be more “cooked to order” options. It’s LESS labor intensive to have someone working a flat top during peak hours than prepping mountains of food that is CLEARLY not following an established recipe. Some items are salt bombs, others are just bland, steam cabinet disasters. It’s very hard to provide this much food for those who are entitled (student housing meal plans) to it. Only to throw it away or donate it to the pantry-poor students, like me. So cut down on the waste and increase traffic with station prep: chargrills, omelets, stir fry, flat tops, and salad/potato/RTE bars with fresh cut produce portioned in disposables.
It's always the same stuff that we're forced to eat ,because we live here, breakfast isn't bad,but regular food doesn't really taste the best feel like the quality has gone down, and there needs to be more fresh options
DONT LET THE BOT COMMENTS CONFUSE YOU... the food is awful (they basically boil almost everything), they don't know how to cut up fruit, the ice cream machine breaks once a week, I've seen cockroaches on the counter tops, did i mention they BOIL HAMBURGERS, and the only thing that is ever consistently good is the orange chicken, which they only usually have once every now and then and they run out of it super fast. All of this on top of the fact that the plates/bowls/silverware/cups are never cleaned well and they also are constantly out of spoons. This is really only important for the people like me who macro-track, but there's never a consistent good source of protein available that isn't fried or burnt. Also weird note but alot of things are just sticky, which leads me to believe that this place probably doesn't ever get cleaned that well.
I highly recommend UCO dining services! Their team is always eager to assist and serve the campus community!
The food is really hit or miss here. Whenever there are student tours, they’ll bring out fresh food that is halfway decent and enjoyable. But when the tours are gone, the food served is just stale, hard to chew, and disgusting. I really hope the consistency and quality comes back. There are time when the food is genuinely nice, but that’s rare. But I have a feeling that it won’t happen with all the mismanagement of funds of this school.
I wish I chose to live off campus, every time I eat here my stomach hurts for hours. The salad gets left out for hours at a time and eventually goes bad (yet they still leave it out). The amount of money I am spending on a meal plan/dorm I could have used for an apartment and groceries (it definitely is cheaper). Spare yourself, it is okay for the tours in the summer and the first two weeks of school and then the quality declines even more. There is always a lot of fried food/oily food and as someone trying to eat healthier than just chicken strips (everyday) the variety is sad.
Literally the worst of buffet food. I live on campus and am therefor required to have a meal plan for this place (and others on campus)for around $1k a semester. When they gave us a tour they had fresh fruit, fresh food, and other high quality items up for grabs in their buffet. One month into the semester and it’s literal dog food. Everything is stale, old, or expired. Rice is crunchy, pasta is at least three hours old when they put it out for customers, and as a cherry on top, the ice cream is almost ALWAYS expired. This place is disgusting and I am very upset that I’m paying so much for literal dog food.
the food is unmatched with the price. the food didn't have any flavor and all look and taste store bought. definitely not recommend to anyone. The staffs are unfriendly as well. i feel sorry for students who are forced to eat here and have to waste their financial aid money for this type of low quality food.
They were great Spring 2019. Now some of the staff refuses food to some people for some reason even though it's a buffet. The quality of food has also declined since they opened. It's a shame because they were really good.
Awe Buddy's, your food was literally the worst I've ever had but thanks for giving me and my boy and place to study❤️

An excellent place to eat. Lots of items for buffet. The price is surprisingly low.
